Going to be a good fight between Riccardio and Bottas for rookie of the year next year. Although if Bottas signs for ART I think he may have a fair advantage (SG Formula is good, but definately behind ART in F3. Same way I rate Bottas and Riccardio as well in fact).
Sadly I don't think the main race for the title will be anything like as interesting. If Bianchi starts next year like he finishes this one, he could be pushing 100 points by the end. |

Hang on aren't we jumping the gun?
Red Bull sent Hartley to British F3, so what's to say they won't do the same with Daniel? |

Because Daniel showed that he's capable of handling all the obstacles of being Euroseries driver when he drove for SG in few races this season? I thought RB sent Brendon and Jaime to BF3 to have a proper "training ground", am I correct?

Did Daniel achieve that short of success in the F3ES in the time he was there? |

Yes Daniel will go to the euro with his team Sg formel, it's kinda obvious, will be confirmed shortly. Daniel has only had 2 races in his career which was this year at the nurburgring, he was a wildcard for Sg formel. He qualified 8th on debut and finished 6th in his maiden race. He started 3rd for race 2 but stalled, ended up 15th though. He beat his more experianced team-mates also on debut (who already had a full season of f3 in 2007). So he will be quick aslong as SG Formel are compeditive enough.

Ricciardo will likely be put in BF3 in Hartley and Algersauris place. Nobody doubted that either of those two drivers weren't easily up to Euro F3 when they finished Formula Renault, but Red Bull still put them in BF3 regardless.
Ricciardo goes where Red Bull wants him to go, not where he wants to go and it seems likely that Red Bull wants him to go to Carlin in BF3. |

Yes I would've thought that would be more obvious choice than the Euroseries.

"Several drivers decided to stay at Hockenheim for an extra round of testing, after the final event of the 2008 season. On the rain-disrupted session, some new names made their debut. F.Renault Eurocup winner Valtteri Bottas drove a Dallara-Mercedes fielded by Mucke. The German squad also took on-track 2008 F.BMW champion Esteban Gutierrez. Roberto Mehri drove for Prema, though he'll be racing with Hitech in the upcoming Macau Masters. The Spaniard joined regular drivers Stefano Coletti and Renger Van Der Zande. Carlin continued to build up track time with Brendon Hartley, while HBR tested Tom Dillmann and Kevin Mirocha. RC Motorsport lined-up Laurens Vanthoors, before handing the car to Yann Clairay."

Laurens Vanthoors has been very impressive this year, i hope he gets a ride for 2009.
Also talked to Daniel Ricciardo 2 days ago, saying that he is going to either euro or british f3 next year, he said it depends of redbull on which one. |

I would'nt be surprised to see Ultimate Motorsport line up for the grid in ESF3 next year.
There was a report around September time I think in Autosport that by switching from the Mygale to Dallara chassis the option of euroseries was a possibility. Maybe Esteban Guerrieri could make an apperence ? As Greg Mansell and Ricardo Texerria have tested the FR3.5 car recently. |

i don't think it's as clear cut as just joining - the euroseries has a cap that would allow one more 2 car team to join. anyone else would require the other teams to relinquish entries, and there's already at least one other team who have said they're going to enter.

I just looked him up on facebook. Pretty sure it's him; he has loads of other racing drivers on his friends list. To list a bunch:
Sam Abay (BF3) Himar Acosta (FR NEC) Aleix Alcaraz (WSR) Zahir Ali (JF3) Kasper Anderson (IFM) Henry Arundel (BF3) Nathan Antunes (TRS-NZ) Alvaro Barba (WSR) Marco Bonanomi (WSR) Sebastien Buemi (Probably F1) etc, and I haven't even finished the B's yet! Ah, to be a racing driver (note, a little further down: Kimi Matias Räikkönen - probably his real account as well :P) Last edited by Sev; 30 Oct 2008 at 12:45. |

...and in other news, it seems like Motopark's entry is really going to happen.
http://www.italiaracing.net/notizia.asp?id=21220&cat=7 They will be testing with Mustonen through the winter. It will be interesting to see how they do as I'm sure Motopark, even with no F3 experience as a team, will have a very good technical staff on board. |

Yeah, that would be a good one! But I think Bottas will end up with ART or Mucke.

Formula BMW driver Adrien Tambay will most likely find a seat in the F3 Euro Series for 2009.
