Good track choice. Seems the end of season race could be in Spain or Portugal, or something like that.

Jarama isn't that bad, it's just not massively long.
Jerez is alright, though I'd like them to bypass the chicane on that run to the final hairpin. I don't really care for Barcelona since Tilke had the final part of the lap redone. Estoril isn't what it once was since Tilke reworked it for MotoGP. So, in Iberia, based on field size and track size/openness of layout, I'd go with either Algarve or Aragon. |

aragon i don't like too! too much long, too much turns and apparently that track has not a sense (it's hard to explain what i mean). Jerez can be a good choice, also because the track needs a lot of money to survive because of debts and in 2012 risks to lose the motogp event

I would expect the BES to charge a sanction fee, rather than rent a track, which then doesn't make sense for Jerez to do that if it's in financial difficulties.
The standard GP circuit at Aragon is 3.321 miles, with 17 corners. Near as I can tell, it's 3.231 miles, with 14 corners, if you omit that chicane in the backstretch. Aragon has several good, fast corners, and a fair bit of elevation change. It would be nice to have less tarmac run-off, but even with it, just planting some grass between the barriers would make a very noticeable difference in the look of the place. Here's a basic rundown of the five confirmed circuits: Monza- 3.600 miles, 13 corners Silverstone- 3.667 miles, 18 corners Paul Ricard- 3.750 miles, 15 corners (3.782 mils, 18 corners, with Mistral Chicane) Spa-Francorchamps- 4.352 miles, 19 corners Nurburgring- 3.199 miles, 17 corners So, while Aragon isn't exactly my favorite circuit, it places pretty well among its Spanish counterparts at present, and isn't absurdly long, nor does it have an absurd numbers of corners, relatively speaking. Thought we could do a run down of the entries that are confirmed ou potential/rumoured so far. I'm not so aware of the categories they're in so any input is great!
BMW Z4: - 2 x Marc VDS - 2 x db Motorsport - confirmed (1 with Simon Knap & Jeroen de Boer, with a possible third Z4) Audi R8 LMS: - 2 x Belgian Audi Club WRT (with all the stories around FIA GT1, I'm not sure if they actually confirmed this program) - 1 x Sainteloc - 1 x Novadriver (Portuguese team showed interest but I think they haven't got enough funding for this year) McLaren MP4-12C: - 2 x United Autsports - confirmed (1 PRO - Rob Bell anyone? + 1 PRO-AM with Mark Blundell, Mark Patterson and Zak Brown) - 2 x Gulf Racing - confirmed (1 at least) - 1 x Von Ryan Racing - confirmed apparently before 2011 ended - 1 x ASM Team - 2 x Boutsen Ginion - confirmed Nissan GT-R GT3: - 1 x RJN Motorsport - confirmed Ferrari 458 Italia: - 2 x ASP SOFREV - 2 x AF Corse - confirmed 2 PRO-AM (Matt Griffin & Jack Gerber + Yannick Mallegol, Jean-Marc Bachelier & Howard Blanc) - 2 x Vita4One - 1 x Sport Garage Porsche 997 GT3-R: - 1 x Autorlando - 1 x Larbre Competition - 1 x Mühlner Motorsport - 1 x SMG (Philippe Gache's team) - 2 x Trackspeed (British GT squads recently announced) Mercedes SLS AMG: - 1 x Preci-Spark (Jones brothers) - 1 x Black Falcon - 1 x Heico Motorsport - 1 x Graff Racing - 1 x KRK Racing Aston Martin Vantage: - 1 x Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Gallardo LP-600: - 2 x Reiter Engineering - 1 confirmed (news on Endurance Info that apparently only 1 here with Peter Kox and Marc Hayek) Dodge Viper GT3: - GT3 Racing - confirmed PRO-AM (Aaron Scott, Craig Wilkins, Andy Ruhan) |

DVB Racing is looking at options to run in Blancpain Endurance Series again.
Their BMW M3 GT4 and Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 are available for the series and interested drivers can contact the team. They also have their Dodge Viper available to run in the Blancpain Revival Series. |

Mercedes reduced a little. Not so sure about 1-car teams for that make. Investing more in ADAC Masters I guess. |

does Trackspeed announcing three cars for British GT mean they're going to do that instead of Blancpain next season or are they looking at dovetailing their programmes?
