Burti was a bit miffed when Ferrrari signed Massa as test driver and so they agreed to go their seperate ways.

Been Watching the 2001 season lately and always felt Burti was getting a ruff deal.

Apparently Gene had a year left on his Williams contract, but decided the time was ripe to move on when it became clear that he wasn't in the frame for getting the vacant seat next to Webber.
