You'll find if you read the reports, we don't know what car Kahne will be in. It might be a 3rd car, it might be Speed's, it might be Brian's. Until Vickers has had his upcoming tests, we won't know if he will be back in 2011 or not.

Nice to see Menard in a properly good car for next year!

I should also mention that there is an error with this entry list. The #10 for Stavola Racing and Terry Labonte will be a CHEVY, not a Toyota.
Also, Dave Blaney appears to be leaving the #66. Scott Riggs is now in the car. |

"#34 - Kevin Conway - Front Row Motorsports (Confirmed)"
I'm really doubting that he's coming back, since he was yanked just before the Michigan race. |

Agreed.
And the red with white lettering looks good, as usual....there's just something so right about Red, White and Beer. I am also fond of the Junior Johnson Bud paint schemes of the 80s with the white doors/quarter panels with red hood, roof and deck lid. But those were Fords... |

But This article suggests that the Budweiser sponsorship is only in place for 22 races, with a further 16 without Budweiser primary support.
Was Budweiser on the 2010 car at every event this year? |

I believe it is to be on the #9 for all races this year, not sure though. I thought I heard that Harvick was splitting sponsorship with Reeses/Hersheys somewhere :/

Yeah, the Budweiser deal is no longer a full season. Too expensive, and there isn't a lot of gain. You figure many people watching are the same ones watching every week; so why not sponsor the big events (i.e. Daytona) that get the higher ratings so you can get the one-time viewers too, and the regulars, but not waste the money showing the same logos and livery to the same people over and over? They sponsor for over half a season and they get all the benefits of being the main sponsor (advertising, brand association, etc) without having to pay for 16 extra races that probably offer them little return when the people seeing the logos are the same ones who saw it last weekend and the weekend before...and already knock back a few Buds on race day as it is.
Kevin Conway, I've read, may be headed to Robby Gordon's team in that 07 they keep entering. It would explain trying to get attempts/points for the 07, and the team are in desperate need of funding. Not Cup, but, Almirola's signed with JR Motorsports in Nationwide. Keselowski was able to get seat-time with Hendrick in Cup because of the JR link, and with Almirola on stand-by for both Johnson and Gordon during this season, I wonder if at the end of his multi-year deal he's a candidate to replace someone (perhaps if Gordon retires in a few years)...either way, great hire by Dale. Almirola's very good. I just hope they can get him in one of the COT races this year so he's all set for next season. |

As for Almorola, he is the real deal. Sadly, we have yet to see more of his potential in Cup because the #8 went bust early last year, and Finch got screwed out of sponsorship this year, forcing the team to go S&P. |

Conway to RGM in 2011?
Conway looks to be with RGM for rest of season: Robby Gordon hopes to have a deal done soon to have Kevin Conway drive a Robby Gordon Motorsports car the rest of the season and possibly next year. Gordon put Conway in the #7 car at Bristol Motor Speedway last week and Gordon qualified the #07 for the Saturday night race. Conway, a rookie, started the year at Front Row Motorsports, but Conway and sponsor Extenze broke away from the team prior to the Aug. 15 race at Michigan. Conway still has the backing of sponsor Extenze and plans to move the sponsorship to RGM. Gordon says he plans to run the #7 car the rest of the year to remain in the top 35 and have one of those 35 guaranteed spots for the first five races next year. "I've got some things coming in for next year that are really good for our organization," Gordon said last weekend at Bristol. "I believe it will give us the funding to do some races with the 7 car, and if we could do a good job for Kevin Conway, maybe we'll get fortunate enough that he'll come back next year and do some races with us as well. The plan is we'd like to [have him run the rest of year], but every weekend it's see how it goes. & He's got to build his confidence. The biggest thing is we need to build his confidence." "It's a great opportunity," Conway said. "I'm very thankful for Robby Gordon and the whole team for giving us this opportunity here this weekend at Bristol and hopefully in the very near future we'll have some exciting news to announce about what our longer-term plans are." Although he has put two cars in the field in each of the last three races, Gordon said he won't run two cars the rest of the year. "We'll focus once we get toward the end of the season on one car," Gordon said. "We'll get ready for next year and get our inventory built up for Daytona and Vegas."(SceneDaily)(8-24-2010) |

Turner Motorsports has bought Braun Racing's Nationwide teams.
Will they switch to Chevy or stay at Toyota? |

They will be switching to Chevy, and more Cup plans.
As for the #19, it probably will not close after all, remaining the 3rd Petty team car. Apparently Trevor Banye, who went over to Roush's N'wide program, and effective now, could drive for Petty in Cup part time next year. |

That's what I understand too. Is he bringing sponsors (or $$$ from Bayne Sr) with him?

No word of sponsors, but likely one of those many current Petty sponsors will jump over to Bayne for a few races.

You can put a "Confirmed" by the 46 Chevy, the 9 Ford, the 13 Toyota, and possibly the 26 Ford. The 98 can be removed from the list, as it will not come back. As for the 36 and 71 Chevys, they will probably be back full time, but I have no idea who will drive for them next season.
