Right. They said recently (read in the Aston thread) the car in the U.S. would race or intends to race Sebring (definitely testing). And if possible, Daytona.

Looks like the updates for the DPs will indeed put them in the right performance envelope: 1.53.400 for the AEX Vette so far, the LMP2 pole for the 12 Hours this year was 1:51.159.

Deltawing has jumped into 2nd on track with a 1:55


Anybody know if the P2's are carrying extra weight for this test?

A PC ride could be a good first step for GT Academy winners instead of going straight to P2? They could have their own ladder system all in one series.

It's a curious start to testing. Where are the P2's and the rest of the DP's?

There is rain in the area, track is dirty and green, will be better for the afternoon session.

The Porsches seam not be able to keep up with the pace in GTD, I guess they will slow down the whole GTD field to make the Porsche able stay in top

I believe I heard that the only other DP entered in the test was still en-route yesterday.

ETA: Oh, and they don't have the upgrades anyway, so doesn't help or matter.

IIRC that's the first time the AJR cars are on track... let's not jump to any conclusions just yet... Though the top-GTD cars are actually quite close to the GTLM-cars.

Edit: Andy Lally going out in the Magnus Car now - they've been testing at Sebring before with the new car, so those times should be interesting.
