And now cleaning up the track from some Honda aero-debris.

Tight course, fragile aero kits, drivers stalling entering pit road....
Looking like last week already, in the dry. |

Chaves loses his left front Honda winglet and there's the first caution of the day. They were supposed to have fixed this but I thought it was too good to be true.
Chevrolet were required to remove their winglets. I think Honda are going to have to redesign their's as I'm sure this won't be the first caution caused by winglet loss in this race. |

Still early on in the race but not looking good for Power, who's already a lap down and with Castroneves catching him.

Dracone's not fast, but if he always drove like this people might be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Been wonderfully clean.

It's suddenly coming alive.
Congrats to Dixon. A very good drive, right from the off and a well deserved win. |

It was an ok race but I thought the last couple of years produced closer racing but that's the price you pay with aero-kits. They produce more downforce but also a stream of dirty air for the car following to deal with.
Who would have thought Power would finish 20th? |

I'm not surprised Page couldn't pass Montoya. Good drive from Dixon.

Without the double file restarts, the races are much cleaner. I thought it was a good race and the battle for 3-4-5-6 was good. I wish we had 10 more laps to see what would have happened there.
Dracone doesn't belong in this series. The TV commentators, especially PT, weren't very happy with him and Seabass wasn't thrilled either. As dominant as Penske has been so far, I'm glad the other teams are still challenging for wins. |

I got bored. Perhaps it was the dirtier air in Los Angeles metro, I mean the new bodykits. Perhaps it was Andrés Agulla's replacement on ESPN, who talked like he had never seen a horse and like he was reading from a poorly handwritten paper.
So Dixon and Kanaan drivers are capable of fighting the Penske quartet. |

A good race all round. Great to see so much green running after last week.
3 races and 3 different winners so the season is looking good. |

Those Chevys are strong. Lot's of Honda's at the back there. Wonder will Hinch be their only winner this year......

Why was Sage Karam replaced? Was that planned, or because of last week?

$$$ as always.
Saavedra's sugar-daddy (Mr. AFS) always comes up trumps. Good race i thought. Pleasing to see it go green for so long, it reminded me of a later 90's F1 race. Proper. I have a feeling the dirty air will be at it's worst at Barber, but we'll see. |

I think the cars also look far, far better in action than they do in any still photo shot.
Some optical illusion at work there... Last edited by Paradise City; 20 Apr 2015 at 13:55. |
