A batches of a 'mixed bag' from various races - Masters 3-Hours, Pre-66 Touring, BMW Compact Cup, Sports 2000).

Last batch from me.
In short, a better event than I feared given the entries although the Masters Allcomers (incl CanAm) was poorly supported with just eight starters but on a whole there was some decent racing over the weekend - the non-Masters races being pretty good. |

I took a few pictures at Donington:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/125639...57669573242780 Despite a couple of small grids and lack of catering, it was very enjoyable to watch. Those Scottish Sports and Saloon guys were utterly bonkers, brilliant to watch at the Melbourne Hairpin. Shame the Matra didn't last long, incredible sound and looked very quick. Enjoyed the F1 cars even though the entry was small, hope they return to Donington next year. |

Yes good day, I don't mind quieter attendances but I know the circuit owners, hosting clubs and financiers etc do!
20 quid OTD price was well worth it just to hear and see the F1's 2 Matra's, the T70's and the Can-Am's. I think the best thing though would have been to combine the 'interserie' entry with the Historic Sports GT's then you will have had a decent entry of cars from the same sort of eras just like the Atlantic Computers Historic series in the good old days! Next year I suspect one of the meetings will move, it's daft to have meetings clashing. |

Sunday was a better day, both weather wise and for spectating. Since we knew there was nothing laid on by the circuit we were able to buy food/drink locally and bring in.
The meeting was a decent clubbie event with a score of exotic cars thrown in. btw....having been to the first two CanAm Interserie Challenge events I do hope the Silverstone Classic have had more luck with entries. |

A great weekend, which competitors and spectators all seemed to enjoy.
Looking forward to next year - hopefully without an HSCC date clash. Gary, fabulous photos, as always! I especially like the flame-throwing Mustang, F1 cars and Ferraris. |
