Come on fellas... my name is here in lights and you're running down one of my personal acquaintances... who could very well check this site and see the comments you make.
Apart from which, do you really think it's nice saying those things? I think there are actually forum rules about it, too. |

So Ray tell all...
Who is the personal aquaintance? Bev, or Peter. Now the horrible truth comes out what? All that defending of Brockie - fav son of Mike Raymond, defender of the Lion's faith, Mr "my con rods are made of titanium"... |

I must admit I was never a Brock fan when he was raicng... put that down to my (previous) support of Ford and Dicky J. BUT, in the few times that I have met him after he retired my thoughts on him are much much more favourable. Heck, how many drivers write a personal message on all of their autographs??
I haven't had much to do with Bev, but I've seen play gopher at Bathurst, running around making sure everyone is taken care of. Sure, 'The Rise and Fall of P. Brock' is one of the more read books that I own... but I have nothing against them these days. PS- How does Bev stand still for so long in the donuts ad? Is that a dummy? |

I met Bev shortly after they hooked up, I think it was at Adelaide in 1977 she first made me a cup of tea. Of course, while I was at RCN and so on I was in constant touch, but that dropped off the past seventeen years or so. I only defend him, however, when it's appropriate... he outdrove most of the guys out there for so long that it was obvious he had more than just a well-heeled team behind him. Check the 1975 Bathurst win, for instance... |
