Buxton's engine blew at the chicane. If there had been a large pack behind, we could have witnessed a rerun of the BTCC round at the chicane as they would not have been able to see anything. Luckily there was n't!

I first thought he was trying to impersonate one of the trucks - and quite successfully

The MGOC race towards the end of the day was a cracker (sorry, didn't get to see the first).

Loads of ding dong action, wild moments and hard racing. The commentator loved it ... and so did the crowds. Brilliant.

Although Huff, Murray, Rivett and Byford four abreast up the hill into the chicane in the first Clio race took some beating.

Cracking little meeting.

Brands Indy here we come!

Something in me water says Buxton will end Rivett's 100 per cent record around there. He's got nothing to lose. If not, then Huff or Kirkaldy to get their first win of the season.

Stand back at Paddock ...

I thought it was on the GP circuit...
Paddock's not that dangerous, but since I usually marshal there, I'll be watching closely.

Oh lord, they aren't there for the F3 meeting this weekend are they?

I was the Observer at Post 3 (Paddock Hill Bend) last weekend when a rather errant Jaguar dcided to attack my post! Bugger...

yeah, I thought so too, and the laps shown for the races at the BRSCC site would support that, just that MST show it as being on the GP circuit that confused me. Silly me, believing MST would have the gospel version.
Whatever - will be watching CL 10's closely. Kirkcaldy's due a win.

Not a very nice race weekend - again we had incident.
from Renault......

Total Control Racing’s Templeman had taken full advantage of his NGK Laser Platinum Pole Position to lead the 27-car field through the opening corners of the race. However, exiting the tight, left-hand Graham Hill Bend, his car spun into the middle of the track. Most of the field made it by but Smith was not so lucky and his Crisps Garage Racing/INS/Boardcraft Clio struck Templeman’s at high speed. Boulevard Team Racing team-mates Martin Johnson (Alford) and Hamish Gordon (Tunbridge Wells) then also spun off the track into the barriers avoiding Templeman’s stricken car. Holfeld F1 Components’ Eoin Murray (Dublin) also clipped it, damaging his Clio. Neither he nor Gordon were able to take the restart, some 90 minutes later. Templeman and Smith were both taken to hospital nearby for treatment, the latter being kept in overnight.

The last I heard they thought Bob had hurt his arm.
Get well soon both of you.

Renault didn't mention that Jason's car went up in flames which was pretty worrying as I saw Jason get out but not Bob.

I understand that one driver had a broken arm and loss of sight in one eye (latter probably temporary and due to shock), whilst other driver had smoke inhalation and minor burns. A very horrific accident which I saw from beginning to end as I was based on Post 8 where the incident occurred.

Shame to see the championship spoilt by these big accidents. Hopefully the next round will be a safe one.

it's a tribute to the safety of the series that those cars came out that mangled (especially templeman's), yet both drivers were relatively intact. there was very little to bring back to the tcr truck...

A very big pat on the back to all the marshalls involved, they did as ever an excellent job of getting the flames out.

There were a couple of nasty F Renault accidents down near me (Clark Curve) not to mention the big F3 shunt there as well in the main race!

The guys on Post 8 with Peter (three of them Silverstone marshals by the way) did an excellent job in getting the fire under control so quickly. Shows that British Marshals training is still up there with the best in the world!

depends on the type of team you go for. A good team will charge £40K.
