....which he won't. Not immediately. Next season they'll be all the PSN parafanallia (sp?) but if Yoong goes, I'm guessing so will the KL stickers with immediate effect. I say keep him untill the end if at all poss.

Magnum had promised to sponsor Minardi until the end of the season (USD10mill) but i'm not very sure about the title sponsor and the other smaller sponsors commitment.

Just to answer the earlier Webber question - no, he doesn't bring Foster's money to the team. Renault pay for his drive.

If Webber brought any Fosters money, the car would be plastered with logos... sadly, he doesn't...

F1 needs teams like Minardi that can give a driver a chance to gain GP experience.
A few years ago Ron Dennis was quoted in the comics as saying...it wasn't his job to train Grand Prix drivers...well someone has to...and you have to have cars and drivers for that matter who you can measure performance by. I remember years ago an advert for a small car, which depicted loads of pictures of the top winning race horse...the slogan ran..."If there was more than one Najinski...would he be any less great?" ...Errrrr Yeah... it would be ordinary!...wouldn't it? If that point is a bit too bizzar for you...Just think of the drivers who gained experience over the years in a Minardi and caught the eye of teams higher up the grid. Alex had his chance and proved a point. |
