Kimi, Ralf, Salo, Massa, Heidfeld and Button, and Webber all get an extra lap too.
However, it has still doesn't help Kimi, Ralf adn Heidfeld. They have all done 5 laps. That's 8 left with the extra lap. Not enough. All the others mentioned have done 6 laps, so they have 7 left. |

They are gonna have to rebuild the barrier before they can restart.
The race will probaly just be startin' by the time they do that. |

I bet ITV are loving this. Will it delay Corrie
Damon reckons that it looked like McNish had the 'classic' lots of understeer that snapped to oversteer on exit. So no evidence for mechanical failure yet. Seems sensible. |

Cool little chat between Jacques and Anthony. I think Jacques was quite impressed with the crash.
Lauda is enjoying his expresso and chatting with Flav. (Renault to supply Jag with engines? They have just shown Sid - Legend! |

Goes to show how safe the cars are now.
I have seen crashes that havn't looked no where near as bad, but the driver has been seriously injured......or worse. |

Peter has a theory about power steering, but I prefer Damon's.
Sid probably needs a whisky if he is going to see accidents like that! At least he doesn't drive the medical car. |

They are doin' a decent job of rebuildin' that barrier, maybe the wait won't be so long.

i like peter windsor alot. The guy talks a lot of sense...it amazed me that he said the reason they banned the power steering was because the teams were getting near to the point where the cars could automatically correct oversteer !
Unbeleivable but i stil go for Damons theory. |

if you havent see it yet Valve.....It has basically got not alot left behind the drivers head area.....the engine and gearbox took the full brunt....150mph in the air about 3 ft off the ground backwards into the armco.

Salo says McNish was 10kph up on his previous lap. It looks like he just ran wide.
They have checked there is nothing wrong with the car. Salo said he has had hit that part of the wall in F3000 ("but I didn't go over the barrier). Hart: Should it be changed? Salo: No, there aren't enough challenging corners. They have to keep corners like this in F1, that's what it's all about - balls. |

Dave Richards sayd that Jacques has raised the lack of protection at the barrier several times before.
