krypto71 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I have been in the back seat, and also in the front seat of the HRT PR2 ride car around Calder in 2002 with my hero, Brighty. 1 lap in the back seat, before the brakes and power steering failed. To feel the rear of the car moving, sitting around the rear axle was amazing. Full 3 laps then in the front, once the car was fixed. Got a new appreciation of the heat and the g forces, plus the amazing car control that Brighty has.

Amonfan, thanks for that, now I remember. The old boy did lots of laps and was pretty stuffed by the end of the day.

1200Datto27 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Another ride that I have been in is a friends rally car on a private test in the forests out the back of the Yarra Valley, imagine 150kph sideways between trees, and you can get the idea. I do not think that anything less than a 2 seat F1 car, or a full spec WRC would give the same sort of rush as that.

My first ever ride in a WRX was in 1998 at night down a dirt track near Kangaroo Valley. The driver (a rally competitor) had the car really smoking, so much that we got brake fade (on a gravel road!). I sat in the front seat looking through the video camera viewfinder, with my legs flailing about like a rag doll. I was hooked, and have never owned any other type of car since.

AussieV8 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I haven't been in a V8 but back in the early '80's I had a few laps around Amaroo Park with Terry Shiels & Barry Jones in their Mazda Rx-7's the noise was unbelievable..

and I also had a spin around Bathurst with Gary Waldon in the BP RX-7 at the 1993 12hr...

One thing not mentioned about being in a v8 supercar is that visibilty to the corners of the car is not all that good - no wonder they are running into each other.

I have been with Larko in the EL around Oran Park short circuit for 6 laps. No thats a real eye opener on the short circuit.
The best passenger ride was around Lakeside in a Toyota MR2 production car driven by Warren Rush. We did about 10 laps and the run down the hill onto the straight was awsome.
We also took the Festiva 5dr renta out for a run with 5 of us in it for 3 laps. It was out of brakes after 2 laps but one more lap was was really fun. Came inot the pits with the front pads on fire and the DJR crew ****ing themselves laughing.

3 laps at Eastern Creek with Glen Seton in 2000. Top stuff!
