Nice pic! It could work I think... but the background seems a bit busy to me... I think you could get away with it by cropping...

Here's a few from Irish Rallying, I've left out the /really/ bad few where i've missed the car completely or cut off most of a car
Circuit of Ireland 2005 pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4 pic5 pic6 Fivemiletown Forestry 2005 pic7 pic8 pic9 Galway International 2005 pic10 pic11 Motion blurred photos always have a fine line between whats too blurred and looks rubbish and what looks awesome. I've shot with down to about 1/25th of a sec on some pictures before but trying to handhold a camera at that shutter speed is quite hard. (horray for anti-shake!) btw: hi! - first post |

is this thread about shots that are more creative than usual or what? or are these photoshoped pics?
anyway a few im happy with and explanations are linked to below http://btcc-racing.com/20110411.asp, i really like the contrast with the car and almost black n white background, looks like a gran turismo game shot http://btcc-racing.com/28030525.asp - i like the symmetry and different colours i think |

however this one that i took of one-legged chinese high jump champion Bin Hou at the athens paralympics took some slating, and no amount of claims on part that it was inspired by one of those Alberto Giacometti bronze figures could save me!

If we're talking blurry cars, what do you think of this one?

I like it Mike... I can see it being used in a magazine as a background or something similar...

i like it, maybe a bit too blurred, think it could be used in a magazine spread with other images but not in isolation,

Mike, even though it has moved over to this thread, I still don't like the cut off tyre! hehe :P
http://www.mdh-photography.co.uk/rmltest/wtcc_bmw4.jpg this one is better, just not enough blur. if you could somehow combine the two... btw, is all this shot with that new lens you were looking at? |

No, I haven't got that yet...
I've got a few more blur shots like that, I'll have them online tonight. |

I think the cropped tyre at the back of the car only adds to the picture - you've got a nice little patch there that's sharp enough to make it look arty, and the car fills the frame and gives an impression of speed...that second one looks a bit more pants to me - there's not so much pizzaz as the first one and it looks like the focus is off unintentionally.
