If you can look at the Autosport site, it's all here (some very weird times): http://www.autosport-atlas.com/news.aspx?id=43612&s=10

Sorry I can't do a cut and paste, but the top ten were Kovalainen from Yoshimoto, Carroll, Viso, Bruni, Monfardini, Premat, Negrao, Alvarez and Artam.
There seemed to be a lot of problems, mostly electrical, and six drivers failed to set a time. Speed was 13th, Piquet 15th and Pantano 18th. Weird, as I said and, to be brutally honest, not very encouraging. |

only 30 minutes isnt right imo. they should have about 3 quarters of an hour or more. surely.
i guess the teething troubles is all part of a brand new series....im sure they will be sorted soon. |

The teething problems should all have been sorted out in pre-season testing. I'd say there will be some red faces after this.

Oh dear, not good.
Hey, lets not start knocking it just yet, they haven't even had a race yet! But 1m35s hmmm..... i thought would be closer to F1 pace than that, F3000 was 15 secs off F1 and these cars are supposed to be much quicker? Good to see AC having a good run though, but Kovalainnen very good to |

Lol
the results prove it - a real stepstone to f1
3 sec. faster than last years f3000 and still more than 14 sec. behind f1; and even 8 sec. behind the minardis 6 out of 24 cars couldn't do one flying lap due to problems, 9 cars were able to do a total of 9 laps all together - so at least no engine with this amount of laps will blow up what a great car for a great price ... drivers pay up to eur 1,2 mio for their "drive" - "drivers" just be careful not breaking your neck with this "stepstone" those who made the money with the series so far have a good laugh now - but how about the future? lets have a new question: how many cars will finish on sat and sun??? i bet for less than 9 cars |

The electrical problems were caused by a new part which the teams haven't used before, hence the problem couldn't have been ironed out in testing.
They are going back to the spec they used in the Barcelona test for this afternoon, so everyone will be able to run more reliably. |

GP2 site (with no schedule) is NOT much help in following anything about the series. Thanks. Last edited by BobN; 22 Apr 2005 at 14:25. |

Mekola, thanks for the qual info. What site did you find it on? It doesn't seem many sites are interested in keeping the info up to date during the event weekend.
