However, there was definite coverage of ferrari merchandised clad fans booing, hissing and giving the finger and one very disgruntled chap was interviewed by ITV. F1 is bigger than Ferrari, and nothing showed this more than the fans who were there. However, lets get back to topic in regards to the GPWC........... |

i was always under the impression the GPWC wanted to split because they want more money from f1 management, their problems with FIA is secondary as it is the FIA who uphold the concord agreement.
even if they break away wont they need the FIA to sanction and govern/administer the rules to any international series as they are the main link between national auto clubs (of which there can only be one per country). so logistically speaking, without the FIA there is no international racing so the GPWC teams fighting with fia only hurts their cause. |

I think that the GPWC may be a step to far however think the way F1 is run should be looked at. I dont think that im in a position to comment as dont know all the ins and outs of how it is currently run however it is obvious it isnt working

Those preaching for a split should look back ten years and see what happened to the once thriving north-american open-wheel scene.
GPWC might get off the ground, but it would never become as popular as Formula 1, and in the end it would be "just another open-wheel championship". |

Paul Stoddart's comments yesterday that he "sincerely hopes" the FIA Formula One World Championship is the way forward appear to be a good sign.
Maybe the USGP arguments will actually prove a uniting force. |

I didn't see Ross Brawn eating banana at this GP, so it mustn't have been TOO bad!

In the last 10 years, I thought 1995, 1997,1998, 2000 and 2003 weren't bad efforts.
