Thanks to John Watson and all at MGCC for another slickly run meeting. Good grids, some very close racing and a nice early finish. (+ a £5er) . Sorry to see the Triumphs come to grief- hope they get back on track soon.
By the way, should any other members of Cadwell on Tour wish to make a donation, perhaps we could buy Peter Maxworthy a road atlas for Xmas!!!

well I'm back from a very nice day at Mallory.

Note to Clive: Yes Steve can count at least to 3 (the number of cars that decided to play skittles down the start straight)

Note to Self: If taking cheap digital camera (£5) to see if it works remember to use it at dinnertime. Not on way home.

Note to Steve: thanks for doing the equipment check. Hope you learnt from it?, but where were the biscuits?

Had a good day myself, even got a visit from that nice Malcolm Gammons, who seemed to want to take the oak tree under which we were hiding, with him. Some very good racing, and here I must swear, sorry folks, but the first Triumph race was incredible, so close all the time at the front, with several battles down the grid too.

My flaggy was a driver up for the day to do some marshalling, Thanks Dave, you did a good job and seemed to enjoy it, so I'll forgive you burning my B off with your Elise on the motorway home!

Cheers everybody

What a great day, top weather, good racing and good company on post. I was that driver with the Elise, thanks for showing me the ropes Clive, getting the other side of the armco just proved in my mind what a great job you all do week in week out. I couldn't believe how much you needed to concentrate just to make sure you kept the flag signals timely and correct it always seems such an easy job from the cockpit

Cheers

Dave

P.S. The added bonus being we didn't have to sit and home and go through the torture of watching England almost throw away the cricket!

Yeah, thanks all. Another great day out. Pity about the incident that ended our second race but I enjoyed myself again.

Hello to the marshal I was talking to in the paddock afterwards by the way. I didn't get your name.

I presume that next year when we go on tour we will have to give some good directions so we all get there on time.

I must say that this meeting had some of the best racing and mashalling that I've seen in a long time, Well Done.

What can I say ?

What an elite and super efficient team we had on the 'Bank' and in assembly at Mallory Park on Sunday. Well done everybody and our most grateful thanks to you all for your superb and most efficient input resulting in yet another successful Race Meeting for the MG Car Club. Special thanks to Alan and Fay Crook, and Paul Stilling for their most needed and welcome help.

Can't miss out the Competitors can we, because without them we would have been pretty bored all day. So thank you all for putting on such a great spectacle, you really showed us all what 'Club Racing ' is all about.

If you misssed this event you can catch another performance at Cadwell Park on Sunday September 11th., where the 'Cadwell on Tour' team will play host. You will be most welcome.

If you have not volunteered yet, please get in touch.

From Chris (using Joyce's Computer)
Reference Cadwell on Tour- We ought to put Peter (its only a damping shower) Maxworthy in charge of directions, it could then be re-named The Cadwell Mystery Tour, & we'll all marshal at the circuit we end up at!!!!

Does mean that the rest of the COT's need to pack our passports with our marshalling gear.

I promised Peter that I wouldn't say anything about his 'little' mis-direction, so well done to everyone else for making his little error well known to all our readers.

Wonder if he'll find his way to work after such a long summer holiday
