I would say if Pither's car has a red rollcage, then it will be the ex. Ellery car. If it has he white rollcage, then it may be the ex. Harris car.

I am pretty sure that the fishwrappers talked about using the ex. Ellery car that was also used in Round 1 of the HPDC series in 2005 by Rod McDonald as his BA was damaged in testing just prior to Round 1.

Last i saw of that car was 2004 Konica Series where it was steered by Adam Wallis, at the time it was owned by Ralf Rupprecht out of SA. Not sure if he still has the car or not but i recall he ran into money troubles so may have sold it.

Peter,

SBR BA1 & SBR BA2 were both built and debuted at the start of the 2003 season. SBR built BA3 ready as the replacement to Ambrose's car (SBR BA1), but Ambrose wanted to keep his old car. Therefore Ingall ended up with the new car for the 2005 season and SBR BA2 (Ingall's mount for 2003 & 2004) was sold to PCR/Jim Morton for them to run the Decina car in the 2005 Development Series for Warren Luff.

Marcos Skaife has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Sharpe runs an ex PWR/Howard car here (PWR#5?), as well as the ex PWR and ex Tratt AUs he has in the UK. Howard sold an ex PWR car (#4?) to NZ last year.

Is the PWR car the one that was #27 at Bathurst 04? It came out of a container in Dunedin and was last seen for sale either last year or early this year.

You're right. I spoke to Jim Morton last night.... it is BA002...

Anyone know the history of the Glen Hastings AU that is currently for sale?

I was at the PCR workshop a couple of years ago and saw the SBR AU05 (the one that was crashed/written off at Bathurst) and they had actually almost finished repairing it!! So maybe this car is still out there somewhere?? From memory it was being repaired for someone who had purchased it....

I believe a guy named Phil Nicholls owns it. He was looking to run it in the HPDC series last year but had no budget. He owns an ex DJR EL unit which he smashed up at Phillip Island a few years ago.

On the V8 Supercar website, it listed Phil Nichols AU as an ex. SBR car. Now I know the accuracy of the V8 Supercar site is not very good, but I tried to think of which SBR car he could have.

The only one I thought of was SBR AU2 which was sold to Gibson/Forbes for Lowndes to run. I read in earlier posts that Forbes still owns this car.

It may be AU1 which was owned and run by Mark Larkham initially within SBR then is own operation.

I am open to any more information available to me.

I thought that there was some talk earlier in the year that Dean Savage had got himself a new PMM Commodore (Gidget?).

From what I have heard he has a VX (#???) that he ran at Clipsal, a VY (#???) that is not complete, and a VZ (TD000).
