Hmmm, does the driver catch fire then? I thought it was usually part of the car, like electrics, or fluidy carrying stuff... A real case of !doh! I like the idea that someone came out with some time back, where you have a tube plumbed around the engine bay, and wherever the fire was, the pipe would melt and burst squirting extinquishant in the area where the fire actually was. Not much use if the fire is due to the engine lunching itself all over hot exhaust(s) resulting in big time fireball. Rob. |

Anyone know if sewing badges onto your overalls causes any problems? I was thinking of sewing my cub scout badges onto my karting overalls, just to rub it in and get the psychological advantage over the other drivers...

Its a bad idea - knackers the fire proofing (you have lots of little holes through to the inside for starters!)
There are a load of messages about his elsewhere in the forum. You can use stick on patches I beleive. James |

James H - you missed Ghinzani say they were on his karting overalls. Not fireproof
Ghinzani, put your cub scout badges on both arms, makes it a three-layer overall Mind what you do with your woggle |
