Ahh Chezza - you've joined the large club known either as the "just one more" club or the "this is my last one" club. You'll find many many marshals in this club, they are the ones who spend the whole of a GP and a few weeks afterwards saying "never again" but when the forms come out they just can't manage to stay away

Sadly, with time pressures from work, I find myself on the slippery slope towards the club myself - I'm going to do "just one more" and then see how I feel

Deano, I'd apply and ensure that you put a covering letter with your application explaining the situation. Ask that your application is passed to the chief for your discipline with your letter explaining the situation. It can also be helpful to make contact with your chief so that they know to look out for it.

Does anybody know if there is there any clarity or ongoing work to clarify the amount of access the guest tickets will be next year. This year some 'guests' where able to gain access to the 'Bronze Ticket' spectator areas whereas others where turned away??? Not very helpful when your marshaling woodcote area and your guest can't get near with refreshments etc.

From what information I gained at this years GP, they "hope" that all the guest tickets for next year will have centre access as per the 2005 GP.

Its not the centre access that was an issue, it was that the 'normal spectator terracing' that used to be open to all became a 'Bronze Ticket Access Only' this year (caused a lot of aggro for those spectators that have been coming years and expected the same spot!), some marshals guests where allowed in one gate where others where turned away at the gate at the opposite end. Just so I know if I need to purchase a ticket for Cheryl??

When I send in the volunteering forms I will ask the MSA to clarify the guest pass situation and detail what access they will give

Should be in the programme if you kept them
Combe are normally Nat B,Silverstone Historic Festival for instance was Nat A/Nat B and the FIA GT's were International

DTM, WTCC were both "international" - I'd imagine GP Masters was the same.

BRSCC list the different categories for the meeting in their final instructions, BARC list some alongside the calendar, Boxing Day Mallory is National B.

I don't think it matters that much as I'm sure I don't get them all right and they've asked me back for the last 25 years. And No this probably won't be my last, unless I can really upset them of course.
