Sandown coverage
Fellow Kiwis what is up with TVNZ's delayed coverage of Sandown? Have they just given up since Supercars are off to TV3 next year?
I have always been a supporter of TVNZ's commitment to motorsport but i have to say I'm a little peeved they dont at lease show the bit of the race that are live in their allocated 3 to 6 slot and just show the balance later on. Formula 1 will be on at the same time TVNZ have scheduled Supercars so now I wont get to watch it until some stage Monday night. Last edited by NAC; 15 Sep 2007 at 23:21. |

The trouble is Mr Bender that V8 Supercars start at 11.20pm and F1 Starts at 11.30 (for a midnight start). Supercars fininsh at 2.20pm and F1 finish at 2.00pm.
I could just record one and then stay up all night and not bother going to sleep but feel I may not last. |

Yep. was a tough ask but I dont know when else TV1 could have scheduled the Sandown 500. Same day (well, almost) coverage is always good although the clash with F 1 was 'difficult to get around. At least there are plenty of replays of F1 during the week but with the Mighty V8's ya only get one shot at it. My plan was to tape the V8's and watch F1, swopping over as and when those confounded advert breaks appeared. That was going good until I fell alsleep before either race had finished AND, the video tape ran out on lap 159 of 161....!!! Really!!! So, I ended up seeing neither to the finish. Roll on BATHURST when TV1 coverage should excell like it always does AND its in the daylight too......

Bugger BAZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (that was you fast asleep)
They could have started it earler so it didn't clash with the F1. If its any good to you I did tape it, you could borrow it off me once I've seen it. Send me a PM if you want. |
