Keep dreamin matt_015, the teams do not want to do the 13/14 rounds at the moment, let alone 16 rounds. But VE$A would love 16 rounds to boast there bank balance

TSR that is a contradiction. the Teams own 75% of V8SA so if they dont want to do 13/14 rounds why would they suddenly change and want to do 16 rounds. thaey cant want both maybe some teams want more and some want less |

Put simply the teams 75% want 13/14 rounds. The remaining 25 % cochrane, cattach and co of vesa want more rounds as they'll get more money.

So i guess it depends on the amount of profit then ... doesn't it.
Can you enlighten me on the payments for TC Cattach etc. Are they on a wage ... or profit sharing. I would Imagine there would be some kind of profit sharing for them as well ...Any ideas?? |

Costs are costs and obviously more rounds puts up costs for VESA so they need to be considered.
Guess thats why VESA are looking at the OS rounds where all costs are met by the promoter |

I don't think V8 Supercar Teams have a share of VESA, but I believe they have a share of TEGA. Although I think Mark Skaife sits on the board of VESA.

Probably a load of crap but it would be great to see International Motor Sport return to WA next year, 3 circuits and 2 rounds of V8's in WA. Good to dream. |

How many more Jag's and Land Rovers does he need to sell ?? |

$400 million was the ANNUAL TURNOVER generated by V8's and it's teams, not profit. I remember the article vaguely about where all that was detailed.

fair dinkum said Santa !!

I've always thought the V8 crowd were rip offs, white sandshoes, etc but even Santa is skeptical about a turnover that equates to $35mil per round (based on 12 rounds, how many were there?). Turnover, profit, monopoly ....... |

The only thing that Alf Barbagallo has to do with the raceway is the naming rights sponsor. The WASCC handle the day to day running and hiring of the circuit. . |
