Great to see someone like Nunez who is usually a midfielder pop up and win a major event like that. Strange career he has had, no points in F3 last season with Prema. In 2005 with HBR he actaully managed 6 or 7 top 10 finishes in Euro F3 which isn't too shabby, yet he only managed 1 point from an 8th place. On the end of season F3 Euroseries facts and figures sheet they noted that Nunez had had 4 9th place finishes- meaning he was a regular top-10 finisher but only once managed a top 8 finish! At the end of 2005 if anyone recalls- he did WSbR tests with Epsilon and was in the top 10 from about 30+ drivers but then decided to do a final year of F3, maybe a mistake. And pre-season testing this year he was usually in the top 15. So we know if he drives an Epsilon or Comtec he can deliver a few points. Seems as if he is rapidly progressing.

I was at Hungaroring and Nuñez did a superb start on Race 2. IMO he deserves this win to show what he is capable of. I´m sure this wil make him gain confidence and be regularly in the points
I just read that he´d had problems with the gearbox during the race and that this made him lose some concentration... but he was still able to keep Pavlovic and Vettel behind. Congrats to him! Oh, and I remind you that none of his team mates have been able to score a single point. Sure the car is good... but we all know that the driver has a lot to say. |

Vettel's gone, chance for Parente.
Wonder who will replace Vettel. Ammermueller (oops!), Buemi, Albuquerque? Prob. someone under Red Bull contract. |
