Its run by Signature, but their website seems a bit short on info. The circuits they intend using are there, but nothing on prices.

Bob

You and Ian not racing in BARC this year then?

Sold the FR2000 on for a big profit?

I had Ian down to win FR2000 class this year....

Has anybody ever stretched a 97 tatuus? I do fit in, but the top of my helmet is only about 50mm below the top of the roll bar. So maybe 100mm of leg room would be nice for a decent position in the car. I would be very appreciative of any drawings or photos someone might have of such a job.

The sister car to yours (when we owned them both) did have the pedal mounting tube moved forward about 30mm. this alows a taller driver to move forward enough to get their backside infront of the chassis tube that holds the covers for the fuel tank, if you are sat on that tube you will be up very high

Great, sounds like an easy fix compared with actually stretching the car. Did you also have to move the tube which holds the stops for the clutch and throttle? Thanks a lot!

No just shorten the stems of the stops

Ok, I'll try that. If it doesn't get me low enough I might buy one of those helmets worn by some motorcycle enthusiasts which look like half a coconut.

Well, I can tell you who's quick, Rossie Worswick, a fast and skillfull driver who is a proven winner, Ollie Hancock another talented driver who won last season, Ian Pearson, 3 times club champion, Winter series winner and outright winner against Championship cars in the wet in a club car.
But its no good looking on the list for them and its not because they didn't want to do it in 2008, they are all on the RESERVE LIST.
It's a terrible thing to face, but it looks very much as if the Formula Renault BARC champion for 2008 was decided by fate during a period of two hours on January the 10th at the Autosport show.
This is an appalling shame and certainly not the "pinnacle of success" a lot of people within the formula have fought so hard to achieve.

I understand what you're saying bob. The series is quite possibly a victim of its own success.

i know you and ian have supported barc renault through thick and thin but i guess the line has to be drawn somewhere.

it does seem odd to be turning drivers away from barc while toca will only be half full.

surely there is scope to run older body work 2000 cars without the restrictor in toca like in the WEC.

i'd certainly be up for a bit of that

Which clutch plate is recommendable for a 97 tatuus? There is one made by ap racing and one by tilton, which is better and are there other options? Maybe a different clutch altogether?

I see in MN that Hancock is now in BARC and Worswick in UK. Maybe there's hope for the other reserves as well.

Will Hancock be running in club class? I'd think that anyone who applied to enter club class but missed out has a good reason to appeal the replacement of a club class driver with a 200 one.

The regs don't address the eventuality of someone dropping out but they do state there are 10 spaces in club up for grabs until entry close date - Feb 4th. Only if that number hadn't been reached by then can FR2000 class fill the vacant spots. I'd argue that if my club entry was in before the 4th then any vacated positions should be offered first to the 11th club entrant and so on.

Go for it...!!!

that last club class spot was held for club class only until feb 4th, we thought about grabbing it, but in the long run it probablty would not of helped us. as it is, i'm one spot nearer to being alllowed to enter & not making the reserve list. I'm saving a lot of fuel this season & sleep well knowing that i have significantly reduced my carbon footprint

are all the Muzz drivers intending to do brands??

it depends when the other guy pulled out, if it was after 4th feb it seems the reserve list is used. having 9 club cars at brands will still be good tho!

Morning Everyone,
Looking to set up the corner weights on a Tatuus RC97 - can anyone tell me what sort of weight I can expect on each rear wheel as I've been offered some scales and I'm not sure if they are man enough for the job.
Thanks.

Going from memory, its about 70-80 kg on a front & round about 140-160 on a rear wheel

Costs have gone up again this year - between £360 and £400 for the double header rounds. The cost for entering all of the rounds was just over £2,300.
