It seems the factory 911s on TUSCC are running the same awful livery from last year (or at least a very similar one), I guess that means we can expect the same for the WEC cars .

The TUSC cars ran a different livery last year at Daytona to the rest of the season. Hopefully that's because their graphic designers don't work in January.......

Hard to tell. It could possibly be amplified by bouncing off of the grandstands/buildings. |

Looking at how quickly it shoots out of that final corner, I think it's been sped up anyway.

Yep! and since Apple's introduction of it into their phones, I fear we will begin to see A LOT more of it in the future...
It really takes a lot out of the video, that it uses that effect. |

According to Autosport Porsche clocked up 4000 km over the 5 days at Abu Dhabi. That sounds like a pretty successful test.

4092km over 5 days comes out to be 818km per day. If they ran the full track thatd be about 738 laps over the test! On average thatd be 147 laps per day.

I agree that there is a significant amount of amplification, but the engine note itself sounds substantially more strident (to me) than the low revving gurgle of the 2014 engine. I suspect that the new exhaust (now on the right side of the car) may have a lot to do with this.

Its still quiet. The 911's sound is much louder. The rear wing mount does have a kink in it.

And it was suggested he was going to DTM, what a nice surprise. Hope he does well, great to see more Aussies in sportscars whether it be behind the wheel or in the garage.

Any interesting piece of information (or speculation ?) in the latest issue of AutoHebdo magazine.
Porsche are being reported to make the switch to the 8MJ (as most would expect) while still managing to substantially reduce the overall car weight to be below the 870-kg minimum. That would be a substantial improvement over the 2014 car which was said to be overweight. |

You know being overweight is the trend word of new LMP1 - and by the look of things P2 too! Looks like diet for many of the chubby girls coming up.
