I think the exact opposite I thought the LM version was the best of the 3! I like the new headlights. Way better than the two-bulb design the last 3 years have had. I thought Toyota is going to run the high downforce version for Silverstone and Spa? So even if they run the LM package here, it's not homologated so they can change it. I'm pretty sure that's how it works, yeah?

And once again the yota hardly looks any different,oh well that's what Toyota is known for simple and proven for reliabilty.although this car has had trouble with the latter. |

Every Toyota that I see, and I pass a dealership everyday when I go to work, have had either halogen or xenon main lamps. Most of the LEDs I see are running lights. Even Hyundais at the same dealership use LEDs mostly as DRLs, and not part of the main beams.
But every Toyota I've seen don't have LED high beams or main beams. Most have conventional bulbs or are xenon. Though you'd think that they would've made the switch, since LEDs are brighter, use less juice, and are lighter in weight. Granted, most of the Toyotas I see at that dealership are SUVs, Corollas or Camrys. I don't think I've seen one Prius on the lot. |

chernaudi is right about the size of headlight.
They are still interchangeable with last years lights. As for the performance of these LED headlights, They are alot better than last year.(commented by drivers) |

TMG have elected to run numbers 7,8 and 9 this year, and I'm assuming that 7&8 will be the full season numbers. I also like the explanation, when the simpler one was that 7&8 were TMG's original numbers in the WEC and Audi Sport and Joest have no use for them since Audi pulled the plug on the WEC program.

Yes, #9 is the third car with Sarrazin Kunimoto and Lapierre. I can't wait to see the rest of the car. I hear there's a good amount of changes to the car and we have only see the lights and rear fender shape.
About 3 1/2 hours left before the full reveal. |

picture can tell thousand words but here are few things I know.
Overall, it looks about the same. (mirror, door, window, sides are pretty much the same) The main differences are Rear wing structure, Rear end areo, Front nose section, Inter-cooler placement. I dont think they are making any changes to their livery. |

Is that a vent opening on the rear of the fin or just some black vinyl?

Bigger news is that they've committed through the 2019 season.

The rear aero has changed, but I'm happy they kept the same basic shape of last year's car.

Are there any loopholes to make some kind of "double-deck" rear diffuser? New one is so tiny.

I'm a bit disapointed that they didn't come up with something a bit more radical but very pleased that they are commited until at least 2019.
I'm very curious to the Prologue. |

The news of a commitment through 2019 is exactly what the WEC needs. Let's see if Porsche extends another year.
I just hope that the big picture is part of the WEC's business plan. I don't see any benefit in limiting the scope of hybrid solutions just to appease another possible entrant. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Peugeot too, but not at the risk of losing Toyota or Porsche. The Toyota looks great by the way. Here's to what will hopefully be an exciting season with tight racing in more than one class. |

I guess I'm in the minority in that I don't find modern LMPs ugly (the last R18 being a nice exception, especially in LDF kit). The Toyota isn't particularly pretty, but it isn't bad. The livery is well designed (unlike Porsche), and they try to use the red thin noise to disguise how high and wide the front end is now. It's not pretty but it's far from ugly. The Porsche has a decent enough shape, it's just a generic crap livery.
