Haven't seen this mentioned before, but the Ford GT will do demo laps before the Bathurst 1000 next month https://sportscar365.com/other-serie...urst-demo-run/

I'm guessing that's why deggis specifically used the word
Mind you, a lot of rich people like spending lots of money to be 'exclusive' so it might well work for them. A lot of work involved though to get 70 people invested and cars provided. |

Well, they've already built at least one fully functioning car(it participated in the Supercar Shootout at Goodwood), which puts them a step above most of those wannabe track car builders. And if they manage the numbers, the car's almost a GTE car already, so converting it to meet spec shouldn't be difficult. (seriously, aerodynamically they would probably only need to change the wing and the splitter) Last edited by FormulaFox; 10 Jan 2019 at 12:20. |

Hope it happens. But I know where I'm filing this piece of news...

I don't see how they can go from failing to crowd fund an LMP2, to designing and building a very expensive road car, to fund a GTE program. |

I'm actually less skeptical about this than the Ginetta returning to lmp1. He has about a year and a half to get his quota. I think it happens.

"Foul me once, shame on you! Foul me twice, shame on me...." comes to mind.
