I've seen wet races in some pretty bad conditions, but for instance, I haven't seen racing go on in conditions like the 1989, or 1998, Belgian GP for quite some time.


WEC wanted to be on the same day as the IMSA race to get better attendance. Also, with the changes they do on the track and in the pits, this necessitates some down time between the two. So, the start time is kind of late.

I don't mind watching night racing but I certainly prefer it in the daytime. Different story if you're there watching it live.

I just find it much harder to follow the race. If a casual fan stumbles across this I'm not sure it would engage them.

Huh, you know for sure those two ARX-03's won't end up competing on american soil next year (in different owner's hands I mean)?
Might be more fitting to the tusc 2015 entries speculation thread

Darkness isn't the issue but it feels like they're no longer using all of the cameras, instead we get always so super interesting endless shots of the pits when the 2nd last car in the race is doing a regular pitstop. Not the way Le Mans atmosphere should be emulated.

Well I mean... I am planning on running the TUSCC season with a pair of ARX-03's... I am 99% there, just need the funding.

In all seriousness, I am just trying to put some historical perspective on this race. Sometimes we don't appreciate cars until they are gone.

I don't think they can. Ed Brown needs to drive 75 minutes and he hadn't gotten in the car until that last stop. Bottom line is, the car is quick and the team has proven capable that they can compete against WEC level opposition.
