Control tires is a huge step backwards imo. Way to ruin a classic event. I don't see many if any JAF GT cars showing up with this revelation.

One driver that won't be back on the Super GT grid this year is 2012 GT300 co-champion Naoki Yokomizo, who lost his ride at the now-defunct Lamborghini Team Direction after the 2016 season, which he described as "the worst of [his] career."

Team Taisan SARD formally announces their 2017 programme. As mentioned earlier, Shinnosuke Yamada and Jake Parsons will drive the #26 Audi R8 LMS.
Hideki Noda will be the new team director, also maintaining the same role at defending champions Lexus Team SARD. Test livery
Super GT official test is held at Okayama (March 18,19) and Fuji (March 25,26). However, we can't show you this season's color scheme because we don't announce 2017 participation plan yet. Instead, we will show you exclusive livery for the test! It looks like a pace car. FRO car is highlighted than our test livery. Can't be helped. Sorry. I'm thinking about a future plan.
Now situation is also serious. However, I'll think about the future. I want to participate in another race series by M4GT4 besides GT300 activity. It isn't decided concretely yet. However, I want to compete in Super Taikyu GT4 class. It may be lazy race different from Super GT. However it has a meaning to compete. |

That'd be great for Super Taikyu - especially given how the ST-Z class hasn't gotten any entries yet. I do expect that to change by the end of the season, though, GT4 is growing exponentially lately.

Naoki Yokomizo confirms that he won't participate in SGT this season on his blog.
He had a GT300 seat till December, but The Team itself had cease to exist in January (Team Direction?). The choices of anyone but a pay driver weren't left for him at that time. So he decided not to participate in SGT this year. We have carried out the two days M6GT3 test at super-cold Fuji.
Update parts check and tire match up was the aim. However, the weather was not completely satisfactory. Positively saying, we could test both dry tire and wet tire. This weekend is Okayama test. Next weekend is Fuji test. Please come to the test by all means. About GT300 cars, this was the first test for Vivac 86MC. It equipped with new headlamp and tail lamp of new 86 and new aluminium side step. And it adds assembly accuracy enhancement. Anything but that isn't different from 2016 spec 86MC. This time, Takamitsu Matsui, Kenta Yamashita and Tsubasa Kondo drove the car. It seems to have been the test which BoP ballast was loaded. On the other hand, Studie tested with update parts 80% equipped. Seiji Ara drove the car with trouble free. Best time was 1'36"666 by Vivac 86MC. 1'37"226 by Studie M6GT3. |

We are preparing for weekend test.
There is a lot of talk which concerns a race, so I feel that there is a season start imminently. We make a last check for weekend test. And we have livery work exclusive for the test. Other team will participate in the test with brand new livery. Therefore our color scheme looks miserable. However, I think characteristics of a test may be emphasized. (Always positive!) We are making a poster for presents. It was for Germany, so Mt. Fuji shot was chosen. A logo of BMW Japan is stuck on the Studie M6GT3 from this year. I think it's doubtful whether they can bring about results corresponding to that. |

Attachment photo is Herbert Schnitzer's M1. This is the photo of restoring submerged car. Next up is rumored revival of BMW M8. First M8 was only one concept car. It was a monster which put 12 cylinder engine for Mclaren F1 on E31/8 series chassis. Its name seems to come-back in 2019. It will loads V8/4.4 liters twin turbo engine into carbon monocoque. Output is 650-700ps. Weight is about 1500kg. So indeed it's a monster. Rivals are Ferrari and Mclaren. The kinetic performance would surpass those. I expect the price as 25,000,000 yen over. 30,000,000 yen might be exceeded in Japan. It's so expensive, so we must sell our M6GT3! Studie which does the race, but doesn't have M8. Studie which has M8 demo-car, but doesn't race. Which Studie is more attractive? Between ourselves, there is a rumor that base car of GT3 will be M8 from 2020 in BMW motorsport! If so, I should buy it, by selling M6GT3! By doing this, Studie has a M8, and Studie does race. It's good! |
