Probably a good move KCMG staying in P2 as they wouldn't be able to challenge the factory P1's whereas they can be class winners in P2

Positive signs about an Oak LMP1 in 2016 but 2015 ruled out. The pace of the Liger this season has probably helped make the car more attractive propostion for a backer.
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2014/1...-targeted.html Also, is it just me but there seems to be more of a buzz in sports car racing than for a while? Top F1 drivers are being linked to the WEC which seemed so far fetched at the start of the WEC that those rumours never existed but now they are being treated more seriously. ELMS is booming compared to the disaster of a 2012 season with a mix of teams that just want to race in Europe along with teams that aspire to move up to WEC one day. This is leading to the WEC being oversubscribed and I wouldn't want the job of deciding which cars make the season entry list. |

But it's a harsh enviroment to build LMP cars in these days, and I fear Mr. Gerald Welter lost a lot of his grace at ACO with the failed Hydrogen car. |

I don't understand French but, I assume this car is special because of the small displacement 3 cylinder engine. So this makes it a more conventional delta wing and would prove that you don't have make a ridiculous looking car to be lightweight and efficient. I'm a fan already.
Rereading I noticed it will be fueled by biogas of maybe any type? And maybe a cryogenic tank? Has the 2015 G56 entry been settled yet? Last edited by TRuss; 30 Nov 2014 at 01:47. |

Extremely dissapointingly but not overly surprisingly no SARD LMP1 (at least for 2015) however they are doing, or at least hoping to do 1x car co-P2 campaign with another team
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2014/1...randed-v8.html In the ever advancing rebranding world of LMP2 where most of the manufacturer stickers on the cars are just for show, the Judd engine could/would be rebadged as Toyota with no links to TMG - ehh |

Kolles might manage to drag second CLM to the grid so that could be 'new', but since even one car return from that team is uncertain, one shouldn't put too much hope on that Rebellion should expect a very boring and lonely 2015 campaign, even more than this year. With 11 works cars at Le Mans even top 5 - top 6 by reliability is gonna be extremely difficult. I wouldn't blame if they went with one car full season + second car for LM+Spa only instead. The R-One will improve and FIA/ACO will hand more performance breaks of course, but it won't be enough to make the difference realistically For 2016 there is stroger chance of Perrinn and Oak and maybe SARD again, but we've had many promises and half-promises before. Oh and won't it be funny if SARD does join forces with Morand or some other team and manages to badge that engine - you'll have
Morgan Toyota which has no Morgan or Toyota, but (Oak-) Pescarolo chassis with Judd engine, which itself is based on BMW |

Dutch MotorsTV commentators just reported that V8 Racing is looking to enter the FIA WEC next year with at least one Corvette C6.R, budget permitting.

Couple of weeks ago S365 said it was considered for ELMS + maybe Le Mans. But that was SRT. Though aren't those two, Selleslagh and V8 Racing pretty much in the same boat... I don't really know how to differiate them today
Anyway, assuming their intel on WEC is correct, the stupid artificial 32 entry gap might prevent it |

team SRT was the one who fielded V8 racing cars in the recent past, anyway SRT and V8 racing C6R's are not ACO/FIA spec anymore.

If they get to Le Mans with the C6.R, that's gonna be 10 years after the C6 generation debuted at Le Mans in 2005! Okay that was different car and base model and class back then but still based on same gen |

BTW, does anybody know if V8 Racing/SRT bought the cars directly from GM or are the cars the ex-Larbre Corvette's? If they didn't buy it from Larbre, then maybe V8 Racing/Larbre can buy or lease a car or two from Larbre. |

acutally the C6R GT1 fielded in 2012 GT open were basicly GT1 cars with just a GTE spec diffuser... the SRT/V8 racing C6R GTE we are talking about have a modified chassis and exhaust system because are powered by the old katech 7.0!!!
no place in the world these cars would be accepted by FIA |

Or contact P&M for workaround. Or do nothing and just beg the ACO for bag of waivers, they stopped caring about regs years ago. |

during 2013 season they used a full ACO spec C6R ZR1 GTE.
From this season SRT and V8racing C6R modified their cars to keep on using the 7.0L of the GT1 car. I'll supply sources as soon I'll find them, but you can check your self that SRT C6R exhaustes pipes are different and in a different place compared to a "standard" C6R ZR1 |

The same Dutch commentators are also reporting that there are 3 teams looking to buy a Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R for ELMS, including one Dutch team.
