What about those 60's GT cars in a light blue metallic colour, looked very cool. |

I guess it's no use debating this further, as it seems we won't convince each other, but I certainly prefer the black/red livery and am unable to feel excited by yellow objects based on their color alone. That's pretty much it from me. |

If the color did not bother you, you would not have those feelings. Suit yourself. Red I like, black for a car is kinda boring as I have walked by many black Vipers or Porsche and not even noticed them until my wife said something. Walked by a Black AM Vantage two weeks ago, and never noticed until someone said something. Thought it was a Jag or Kit car at first |

But, that livery worked in yellow too. The one they usually run doesn't because it looks like they couldn't be bothered to design one and just painted the whole thing yellow. |

You know, in case they manage to potentially clinch the GT2 championship in 2009, they should totally go with the red. Darth Maul with 480 bhp. |

I can't see them not being yellow in GT2 as well. I think yellow has become synonymous with Corvette Racing and I can't see them foregoing that in GT2.

Yellow is regarded as the most visible colour, hence hazard signs being black and yellow. In the UK the fronts of trains were normally painted black and yellow diagonal stripes because it was considered to be the most visible from a distance.

I don't mind the yellow, but it would be good to see a change- maybe, as someone mentioned, the metallic blue used on the 60's Vette racers: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...rand_Sport.JPG |

On the upside it seems that the P&M bunch was at Sebring testing the last few days with both GT-1 and GT-2 configurations. No official info but there are a few pics @ DSC.

With all the rumours about the General heading towards Chapter 11, how safe is the Corvette Racing programm as a whole?

Might be slightly off-topic, but Dale Earnhardt Jr 'announced' that the C6.R will be released for iRacing sometime soon. Might not be the real thing, but it's as close as I'll probably ever get!

The C6.R is an evolution of this chassis. (Do you suppose P&M would let me in to shoot the GT-2 chassis?) |
