Possibly. That was just dumb, risking so much for (at best) getting past one of the Toyotas for half a lap. Especially since Rebellion's strategy is all based on keeping the car on track and hoping for Toyota to stumble.

I'd be surprised if it was, everyone has a blunder sometimes.

It was bad though, and it was his most high-profile mistake for sure.

Edit - Looks like the nose was broken before the braking zone. Still not wise to be harassing the Toyotas so soon.

I think they've added more downforce for the race. Fred Mako said they ran really low downforce in Qualifying for straight line speed.

I don't see it reported anywhere, but the #37 Jack Chan Oreca and the #5 Ginetta hit each other? They both slowed down at the same time and were running near each other on track. And there was a short yellow flag too.
