"In the 17 on the other hand, they are paying attention"
Bit of a harsh comment against the #19 there. It wasn't like they weren't paying attention - they were just driving faster. That's what it takes to win this race now days. |

Or they have a car that has broken at the previous short races and weren't going to just run the team cars at the limit while in a strong position. Don't think it was meant as a dig at the #18 drivers (probably doing what they were told, run a cracking pace and break the Audis chasing which they did) but he is someone who is very close to the team and may know what they were playing at. Le Mans has always been about team games. Last edited by Bell_End; 16 Jun 2015 at 08:14. |

It was not that clear on the first stints, when the #19 was sixth until Duval made contact with the barrier.

So if all stayed out of trouble, all bets would be off, that 's exactly the situation where you have to push.... specially when you know the best characteristic of your opponent is reliability(diesel engine helps a lot). |

This is new fashion endurance racing, machines have to last flatting out (is all computer managed this days, engine and hybrid, so all the driver has to do is pedal to the metal without being crazy on unnecessary risks) ... or else ! lol |

I wonder if we will get an after-the-fact release from Porsche about winning technologies like Audi has been fond of in the past????
They have been very quiet about their engine. I have to wonder what changes hide "under the hood" they clearly made a change to two exhausts. But why? Did their MGU-H change from last years. how much more efficient is this thing over last years? I have to wonder how much that other hybrid system has to do with h their ability to get to 8MG? |

Le Mans wrap-up video from Porsche.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTn-...ature=youtu.be Utterly ruined by the bizarre choice of voiceover if you ask me. |

How many engineers works in the Porsche aero-department ?
Because Bonanomi said to an italian newspaper before the race that Audi had more than doubled (10) the 3-4 aero-specialists that worked 2 years ago http://www.gazzetta.it/Auto/12-06-20...40911368.shtml |

I thought the exact same thing. It sounds like a German man with a French accent that grew up in the south of the US trying to speak English. Bizarre. Which is weird because I'm pretty sure it's the same guy that does all their promotional videos.

Almost laughable. Germanic humor? The video was good, albeit hard to focus on the visual side with the twilight zone narration.

Us Aussies cop a lot of ribbing over our accents , but that blokes voice/accent is very, very strange. They are trying to be serious about their great victory, but have only succeeded in that video sounding utterly ridiculous. I think there will be another re-done version surfacing in the not too distant future. |
