No, Gould's first win didn't come until 23rd June 1985 at Doune when Cris Cramer took the 2.5 Hart engined Gould 84 to victory.

Who me.... Well I am really!

I did an Imeche poster for a talk by Gould Engineering a few months ago and the dates seemed very close - I know very little about hillclimbing and sprinting

Yes, it was mentioned in a Grand Prix International. He had a fan letter from a little girl who had cut out a picture of the Pink Panther and said "I think you should stick this to your helmet as he's my favourite and I think it will bring you luck".

I don't suppose she knew the Pink Panther was originally a diamond, but fitting as Bruno had diamond shapes on his helmet as well.

Wrong so far.

Its more an end of season thing, Dec 18th to be precise!

Although she was hoping to drive the Grp B lancia in 1982. I don't know if that ever happened, and having seen a picture of the lady in question, if any conceiving was to done in the san remo service area I would not have objected!

Time to move on.

Bit surprised that no one remembered that Antonella Mandelli won the 1981 European Ladies Rally Championship.

Her best result was Second on the Maderia rally. She was awarded the prize on Dec 18 at the FISA prize giving in Paris All according to Autosport.

The piece went on to say she hoped to compete in 1982 driving a 131 Arbath before switching to a new Grp B Lancia 037. I have no idea if that happened.

Ok,
  • This driver won his first ever F3 race.
  • Drove for Surtess in F1.
  • Was a team mate to Stefan Bellof.
  • Had a one of drive in a shadow but did not take the start.
  • Returned to F2 to relaunch his career in the 1980's only to flounder mid season.
  • Then tried sportscar with the Conrero team.
  • Drove in the 1981 Le mans.

Not a complete list of the guys teams or drives, he may even have had a works sportscar drive and was talented beyond what his results would suggest.
who is it?

Since F1 drivers had to wear helmets, they were more or less creative in finding their own helmet design.
About mid seventies until today every driver in F1 appeared with his personal colours except one driver. He used the design the helmet manufacturer applicated on every helmet of this type.
Who knows the driver?
