Despite no DBR9s I quite like that entry list, the Vantage and Porsche Bi-Turbo providing some nice variety - hope they actually make it onto the grid! |

But there is no consistancy, they list some as Z06's and some as C6.R's, same with the Porsche's, some are listed as 997 GT3 RSR's some listed as 997 GT3 RS's, and beffor some Saleen's were listed as S7's now there all listed as non exsistant SR7's

Forgive my ignorance but which Porsche is the Bi-Turbo? The entry list doesn't mention it.

Someone explain to me the logic of running a Corvette in G3 when there's a GT3 class? Is the ruling about 2 car teams still alive in GT3?

G2 and G3 cars are also eligible for points in the Citation Cup this year, so we might see some of them at other FIA GT rounds also.

Just been down the pitlane. Nissan is here.
In GT3 the Morgan looks very nice in the new livery. The new Jag looks mean! The wide body certainly makes a differents. Going to be a great weekend of racing, just hope the weathers good. |

THere are already two Corvette Teams with two cars so there is no chance for Lagniez to compete in GT3. But I also think that maybe some GT3 cars might race for Citation Cup during the season.

Citation Cup is only open for GT2 cars ! and yes I think the Z06 entring the G3 is because the FIA GT3 has already 4 cars, so they can't compete there !

Well I am back from practice today. Was down at Vale all day.
The new R8's and BMW B6's are amazing bit's of kit. Only 1 Jag came out and it is still very loud! The Saleens and Vette's are really pushing in the main event. The Nissan and Ford GT's are also very impressive. |

In light of the Aston Martin Vantage's second place in qualifying, it was a little disappointing to see them finish in 7th place at Silverstone. However, having said that, it was nice to see something besides a Porsche or Ferrari score points in the FIA-GT, GT2 Class. I don't think that's happened since the Bleekemolen/Kane Spyker finished 4th at Dubai in 2006, which was the last race of that years series.

Mind you they started from the back of the grid as the qualifying times were cancelled when it failed post-qualifying scrutineering.

Once they raised the ride height, and sundry other mods to bring it into line, it seemed to struggle.
Shame, as Fred was MIGHTY in qualifying. I must say I'm looking forward to the 'new' GT1 if they all look and sound as good as the Ford. I could ignore the Nissan all day! |

I dunno about the Nissan, looks a bit pedestrian even compared to the GT2's but it does sound good!! Almost NASCAR like? |

Well, there is a sort of Nascar-like engine under the bonnet: a 5l V8. A shame that they did not put the 3,8 V6 turbo in it: much more special compared to the other big NA-engines in the serie, more like the roadcar, and much more modern.
