TV carried Blancpain GT yesterday (!) and the Bentleys looked pretty good. odd to see such a bulky looking car passing a McLaren.

Granted, $50 is a lot to pay out for a sprint race, but I feel it's worth it. Sticking around for Nationwide makes me feel like I'm validating their product or way of doing business. Go Dyson!

The Trans Am series isn't that bad. There's a number of drivers I would call acquaintances, but it's too bad the place will be emptied out by time they hit the track.

I hope people let IMSA know this is the best sportscar race going at Road America this year. The Nationwide weekend can be credited with bringing more awareness to the track and more fans for the ALMS weekends. Now people will see what IMSA is lacking.

Touring classes will run separate from GT.

How can Realtime not be there, it's a 45 minute drive to the track, hell they could drive the damn race car there!

Here is the e version of the autograph card we intended to share with those in attendance at the Belle Isle Grand Prix this weekend.

Unfortunately, our program suffered a serious setback yesterday afternoon during final testing which immediately ended our chances of making our debut in Detroit as promised.

Everyone involved in this exciting project feels just terrible right now. We were so looking forward to competing for the first time against all of the incredible Pirelli World Challenge GT teams this weekend.

Looks like the missed Detroit race has expanded to Road America, wonder what happened.

I'm starting to worry that maybe Acura pulled the plug as surely 3 weeks is long enough to fix a mechanical issue.

Also, Enge will apparently be back in one of the Lamborghini's so it should be a great weekend if he can repeat his St. Pete performance.

On a side note, a couple of things that Graham Goodwin said on RLM just now during the N24 coverage when discussing WC with Jim Roller:

- GT3-spec Cadillac supposed to make its debut either late this year or early next year
- series looking at 2 or 3 longer races next year

Fastest time I've seen from practice or the race is a 2:08.2 which is a little surprising. I don't think anyone has gone faster than I did testing a few weeks ago in the Ferrari-- on old tires. I guess you can find plenty of sand outside Daytona! :-)

it did rain pretty heavy which may have cleaned off the track earlier before the race. but I was also surprised by the times and the fact that Skeens fast race lap was 0.8 fatter than anybody else.

True, but on private test days the track conditions are never that good because there aren't enough cars putting down rubber... race weekends are always faster (+1sec on a 2min+ lap). But ya, I'm surprised nobody else got into the 2:08's even. I'm sure Enge would have if it wasn't for the contact early on (he did a 2:08.2 in the practice session).

Maybe it was the Goodyear rubber on the track from the Nationwide cars or something...
