Guess what that brought in: Pro-am specific categories. That is still a new concept. LMPC can go away and die and not be replaced. TUSC should just be Prototype, GTLM, and GT3. LMPC could be replaced with P3 cars using current Chevy engine from the LMPC cars. I think a P3 car should be the first step before trying to build an american P2.

The PC class will continue on! Which chassis type to be utilized is yet to be determined. I believe the contenders to be the FLM09, P-3, DP and P-2. Pro-Am is not going away in either prototype or GT.

Thats for sure. I can't wait until Daytona 2016 to see how much faster the GTLM's will be. They went 1 min 43 in qualifying this year which is very impressive that would have been the overall pole as recently as 2007 I think.

How close do we expect the PC's and GTLM's to be in terms of pace next year with the performance upgrades given to the GTE's?
Also, more long term, how close are the P3's going to be to the GTE's? |
