"After analyzing the date from Sebring and WEC, Porsche Motorsport determined that modifications to the car were necessary to improve performance. The Porsche engineers at Weissach realized there was limited time as the season had already begun, and modifications must be incremental – not too radical - in order to meet the approval of the sanctioning body. Porsche also knew that it was in everyone’s best interest for the class to be competitive, so they were confident that the sanctioning bodies would give any modifications fair consideration. So the engineers developed and tested a combination of aerodynamic and balance improvements, combined with a proposal for less restriction, and then presented to IMSA, with the understanding from the ACO that they would take data from Sebring/Long Beach with Laguna data and then determine what the Le Mans rules would be." |

I just heard on Radio Le Mans that the LMP1 Porsche will start testing before the end of the year
That explains why Dumas and Bernhard are so mysterious about their post Le Mans plans. |

You're not the only one! It would be great to have one racing in the ALMS. Maybe Penske will consider coming back too. I kind of doubt it, but you never know. |

Traditionally, Porsche runs its own cars in the first year, to make it available for selected private teams from the second year. I've heard Porsche will race in 2014 as Porsche A.G.

Now that we have a reasonably good idea of the rules, I'm really curious about what engine Porsche have designed for their car.
Perhaps it will be a turbo in order to match the diesels insane talk levels. |

John Hindhaugh said some Unamed Insider (Deep Venturi?) from Porsche claims that Porsche Wants to race Audi, because only by beating Audi can Porsche reclaim its past Le Mans glory.
It makes sense but I want it so much I won't believe it yet. |

Have Honda been confirmed yet?
If Porsche decides to get outside help to run their cars Rebellion should not be counted out. |
