I'd have thought one spare between two cars would be a necessity.
Then again, they're not exactly marketed as a two-car team regardless of the common owner and preparation. |

It may also put Mr Perkins' rest of the year in jeopardy with funds now fired towards repairing the engine rather than running the car |

Grid Penalties For De Pasquale & Stanaway
I did wonder why there were 3 on track after the end of the race... Pit lane snafus? |

Stanaway looked good. Where's my mate Mceci? On a holiday?
Those penalties are ridiculous. |

Full credit to the kid for not letting the red must set in, and chuck the whole weekend away. An assertive drive in race 3 to P2 will make all the difference come Newcastle.

Well driven by Stanaway in Race 4 but take nothing away from Anton the round winner, great driving through all the weekend, well deserved.
Was a lot of variances in times between the field sometimes up to 3' seconds, what do you put that down too? Lack of set up? Most I have seen between the field over the last few rounds. |

A bit of everything.
Only have to watch the live timing to see lap time variations of up to 2 seconds on consecutive laps to see that some pilots are lacking in race craft. |

If only they could create a cheaper-to-run vehicle for the Super2 series. Something with a crate Coyote or LS engine, a cheaper transmission too, but running the fundamental spool differential that the drivers need to learn. Ideally upcoming drivers should run both Super2 and Kumho series to maximise mileage (for example Smith with the BJR dual program), but the budgets of running full-spec V8 Supercars in both series is surely prohibitive to most. [At that point you may as well purchase the full season LDM drive, as Mr Chahada attempted to do only for CAMS to say no dice. :/ ] |

And as for miles Both Stanaway and De Pasquale have not have had a huge amount of time in the car but are both drivers that have spent time in Europe driving and SMP is has a slight European feel, maybe this was a factor. Both these rookies (and I will call them rookies due to it only being their 2nd year) did an exceptional job and didn't put a foot wrong all weekend, had speed and were consistent. |

V8 Touring Car frontrunner Jordan Boys will make his Dunlop Super2 Series debut at Sandown with Dragon Motor Racing, replacing Renee Gracie.

My understanding is that there are some personal matters underlining her reasons for sitting out.
One only hopes that things are ok in Ms Gracie's world. |

Will Stanaway be having another run in Super 2 at Sandown or Bathurst?
