The Ardennes look like dark Grimm fairy tale forests at this time of the year.

I like the new lights better than the current 918 look-alikes. This car looks wonderful in black with those white tire letterings. Reminds me of a classic pair of rollerskates with the big wheels.

Me too! The car is really quite good looking. It's the dubious livery(ies) that make it seem odd at times. They do nothing for the car IMO.

I find myself really liking the sound of the car too... Agree with Spyderman (and others): The non-livery looks better than the livery! |

I remember reading somewhere that the cells are still coming (or at least developed by) from A123, but the battery is in-house.

I think it's kind of the same way Tesla are doing it. They use Panasonic cells, but they arrange, package, and cool them in their own way.

Best Time for FP1 in 2015 was 1:42.121 (Audi)
Best Time for FP1 in 2016 was 1:42.182 (Porsche) It looks as if they have not lost a lot pace in relation to last year. |

The end of what? It was just one wet session and it was expected(RCE was also saying it on twitter) to be that way because the new R18 likely has much more downforce than the 919
The Audi guys are saying Porsche will be the best car on the first two rounds, so cheer up |

porsche seemed to (marginally) have the best ultimate pace at silverstone, so i definitely wouldn't say disappointing. also, their reliability seems really good, while audi still had issues with the second car. audi's new car looks really strong indeed, but i think so does toyota's, which was the only one maybe not having a very silverstone-specific setup. i expect toyota to be quicker at spa and le mans. i think porsche were impressive, but you can't win all the time. audi came back with a vengeance, it was to be expected. and i'm sure there's still more to come from porsche this season.
