Andretti has reverted to the season one motor. That explains why they managed more running today. |

Just clearing up some of the unknowns on the list. Buemi and Prost will race once again for E.Dams next season but now with greater involvement by Renault. Last edited by CJFG; 26 Sep 2015 at 15:07. |

Turvey has been confirmed for next season alongside Piquet Jr at NEXTEV after racing in last season's London finale. |

Frijns will race alongside De Silvestro at Andretti Autosport next season. A bit of a coup considering how poor AA's testing programme has been. |

Now we have to just wait the Aguri lineup. Why is not Autobacs sponsoring him?

Da Costa confirmed at Aguri, but I think he will miss some rounds because of his DTM clashes...

The Hong Kong track looks a bit fiddly but it's a great location.
Formula E recently announced a couple of rule changes (along with a calendar update) which caught my eye: one is that you can only change drivers twice per entry during the season. I don't agree with this. I enjoyed the cameos from the likes of Scott Speed and Oliver Turvey last season. It seems daft to me to exclude those who might be able to only commit to a race or two per season, but who could add to the appeal or bolster a home crowd. The other change is the addition of a "Super Pole" session. This is a good idea, but they've shortened the qualifying group sessions to accommodate it. This season drivers will get only one flying lap in their group session which isn't ideal. Why they can't just extend the process by 10 minutes or so is beyond me, and would ensure that all the phases remain interesting. |

me too, but i think they should have guest cars for that specific purpose. no idea how it could be done fairly, but you're right about local interest drivers.

I think a guest car would only work if one of the teams could be persuaded to run an extra car with their proprietary drive train. Otherwise before long the season one package will be hopelessly outclassed and leave guest drivers trailing around at the back.
I can see why they've made the change: they want the fans to build a rapport with the drivers and engage with them through FanBoost and the like, and they don't want to see teams selling seats to the highest bidder, but the series is too young to worry about being super professional right now. I just want to see good drivers in good teams having a bit of fun with the whole thing. |
