BTW the revised Lamborghini R-GT was faster than the works Lister and RML Saleen in testing at Valencia.

Looking good!

The Lola B98/10???

That car had MAJOR colling problems...the air intakes for the radiators were under the car and when the ambient temp was warm the car had big overheating problems....an flaw that was changed in the B2k/10....

Wonder what revisions Lola made to it???

BTW...youc an find MANY B98/10s on the internet for sale from $140,000 and up....

I had included that chassis in the "LMP on a Shoestring" thread, but noted the cooling problem...

One Other Note:

The GLV thing doesn't surprise me...we heard many months ago that there was a 2004 specs car that would be fileded by that team, but didn't hear a whisper after that....

Renauer are Austrian- their website (although only in German as far as I can tell) with pic of the car-

http://www.renauer-motorsport.at/

It's an Italian-built SR2 car, usually Alfa V6-powered. Renauer have run theirs on and off in the FIASCC during the last couple of years

Nice-looking possibility for LMP2....

Have any idea what a used one would go for???

Just out of curiosity...

I can't remember any of the details, but from memory, Kremer's B98/10 had a fair amount of modifications carried out by the team during the period they ran it in FIASCC races (right up to 2001/2 from memory)- consequently they used to refer to it as a 'B98K' (for Kremer...), and it's now advertised as a B98K/2003.

A scary thing, indeed!!!!

Amanda Stretton is one driver, along with two other female drivers.

She's been on TalkSport a few times already, so the all female driving team is certainly getting the publicity Synergy TVR desired.

Can a B98 be modified to a B2k-10 like the older B2k-40 can be modded up ?

New pictures of the LMP1 Lister in the gallery.

Can someone in the know comment on the rear wing and how they have dealt with the new wing regs?

They did what we all thought they would do when Mulsanne Mike and others raised this issue in the "2004 regs" thread a couple of months ago, when they released the final version of them..

last year, the endplates jutted out away from the rear fender at an angle before going vertical....since the reduced wing would cut the length of the wing by about 4 inches on each side, we thought they would just bring it straight down to the rear fender with a single vertical plane...

BTW...

We also thought that their fix and the change that an R&S would require would be the easiest of the lot....

Teams like Audi, Pescarolo, and RfH, with those extended plates at the bottom of their rear fender that extended horizontal to the endplates, looked much more problematic....

We'll see how others handled it in the near future

Having seen that first picture that you can click on, I've gone off it a bit now. IMO it just doesn't suit the car.

From what I understand Liz Halliday will share the TVR with Amanda Stretton, the 3rd driver will be confirmed at shortly.

Significantly quicker ? Blimey !

The PQs and Qualification evenings will be something (at LM I mean)... and the 1000 kms races could be interesting to follow in terms of speed... but reliability, reliability... remember the Lister at the 1000 kms in November...

Surprised, not quite ; but I read here on the forum that the Lister improved a lot its speed. Thikning that the DBA (I love that car), beeing already fast, could be even faster, that is really good news for 2004 !

The new 'Evo' DBA/Zyteks have updated engines and aero tweaks. I expect the Creation car will also recieve these.

In Autosport Zytek said the cars would be continualy developed.

I would hope they are also looking into build a new LMP1/2 car like Lola for 2005/6.

See the above link. From what I've recently heard it is solely to do with FIA GT and not LMES. The cars will also remain as they are. The main disccussion was to keep costs stable.

This is quite interesting news....

In the classified section of Autosport this week Kremer have their Lola B98/K2003 chassis up for sale, now the interesting bit, the advert states - "Lola completely revised and prepared for the new Le Mans Endurance Series in 2004 and the 24 h Le Mans"

There isn't a price on the car but I think very interesting news, I wonder if any team owners will pick up on this...

There is also this drive available in Autosport, now I didn't know anything about this team so excuse me if you already know about this...

"Renauer Motorsport has one drive available for the new 'LeMans Endurance Series' with our Tampolli-Alfa LMP 675"

Looks like maybe another entry you can add to the list.
