I think the engine will be fine because it isn't making as much power in GT300 as LMP2.

No. Probably you have checked out the Autosport-web's article.
That article reports the come-back of Akihiko Nakaya as third driver of team Shift (#52). It says that "he had participated in Super GT by Mitsubishi FTO before." This is the entry list of Suzuka official test (July 20-21). http://supergt.net:8080/upload/files...1769470823.pdf |

The explanation of that GT86 is in the next issue of RCE - out in a few days. It is very very different to the Subaru BRZ. I don't think they have a single thing in common. Suprised to see it together so early was not expecting it to run until later this year - I assume that mis interpretation is to blame on my part and it will race by years end. maybe at the JAF sprint event?

I cannot declare whether this GT-86 is JAF-GT300 vehicles.
The tire house is expanded. And A-pillar is reinforced. It has front-side exhaust. It must be a racecar. However, this exhaust pipe is too thin for JAF-GT300 vehicles. And it is not equipped with side skirt, too. Possibly, it might be a Thailand touring car. |
