I've no idea whether the Stones gave any indication to Shane they were going to sell the team to Erebus before he signed for 3 years. If it wasn't something Shane was aware of, the deal he was heading into for 2013 was definately not going to be the same as the one he signed on for.

May be the question that SVG asked prior was can you give me a car that will finish the first three or seven races above about 10th place?
Never heard of AMC magazine are they an AMG publication. |

I think the main thing we're getting from this thread is that we don't know what the contract says, whether it's enforceable, why he actually left, what led up to him going and whether any of that prevents him from driving for another team now.
I think I'm going to suggest this is now best left for the legal teams to sort out as speculation on here is going round in circles with the occasional insulting comments about Mr van Gisburgen. No real problem there, you're entitled to that opinion and I can understand how it's arrived at. Time to close this thread, I think, since he's now very clearly unquit. Other news on the matter will go into the appropriate threads and such time as there actually is any. |

Boy Betty, you are controversial, and you wear your heart on your sleeve, but you are so far off the mark there you are nuts.
Sure Ross Stone stayed around, and kept the REC under his ownership so it didn't invalidate Shane's actual contract, but I agree 100% with what Shane has said that the way Betty was going about it was a basket case of an idea. Prodrive tried engines out of the UK... You just can't do it. Big accusations to make and absolutely zero merit. Not a whit. |
