mike should get turns 4 and 5 as he came uip with the idea first for them ... and i belive i deserve some credit because the circuit was, for most of the time, based on my revisions ...

Maybe we could name more than one corner by using the street name you live or lived on. You could use the current street, and any street you used to live on if you've ever moved. For me, that would be two streets. I'll wait and see what the rest of you think before I give anymore input.

Any street I've lived before? Hmm... perhaps even tougher for people (other than TR) to pronounce: Phohistraat and Jacob van Campenstraat.

It's actually like 'phoney' (sp.) as in fake, just with an H instead of an N. 'Phohi' is actually an abbreviation of Philips Omroep Huizen (or Holland) Indië which translates to something like Philips Broadcasting Huizen (Dutch) Indies.

My 2 cents:
Riverside Drive (Riverside?) Park Drive (Park?) I'm still thinking a mix of the themes would be best, to make it less cheesy. What we got for suggested themes so far? Street names Lotus Hippy Usernames ...??? So how about: Graham Hill Rainbow Bend Sweeper (Parabolica's overused nowadays IMO) Exige Hairpin JPS Esses (try saying that when you're ****ed ) Clark Riverside (OK, so I contributed bugger all to it Would prefer an English name to stay with Chapman theme tho, soz guys, not meant to be nationalistic, just think it'd seem out of place) Freak's Corner (whoever started the project? Fish Bend?, etc.) Snail Spoon Cosworth Chicane Waddya think? |

i havent added my street as i came up with JPS for turn 4 or what ever it was but if ne 1 wants to use one "Blashfield" would be one of mine . |

1. Falconwood 2. Clayton 3. The Sweep 4. Cosworth 5. Blashfield 6. Laurel 7. Graham 8. Bakken 9. Hawarden 10. Norfolk 11. Ingalton 12. John Players 13. Nottingham 14. Floris 15. Campen 16. Oster 17. Park 18. The Spoon 19. Quail 20. The Chicane 21. Indie Feel free to trade any names if you want to. |

well ive been handed with urns 10/11, i never contrabuted anything to them and so i feel it would be wrong to have my 'names' with them ...

as said earlier mine is turn 4 .... :x but i dunno whats happening now as it was dedicated to lotus now seems to have gone to street names. lol so what ever yer its all good .

Of the street names, I particularly like Quail and Falconwood. Can I make one last suggestion to the track layout, to feel I've contributed something? For T3, could we maybe have something halfway between the current one and the one P suggested? Feel it might adversely affect overtaking into T4 in its current state. And somehow it doesn't look quite right to me.
I get the feeling that 21 is way too many corner names to remember. Good to get all ideas used, but for a 5-6ish km track I've never seen anywhere near 21 names. How about: 1 2 3 4-5 6-7-8 9 11 12-13 14-15 16-17 18 19 20-21 So 13 names in total - bit tidier. T10 is IMO too negligable to be called a corner. And the names we agree should DEFINITELY be included? Graham Hill Falconwood Quail The Sweep JPS The Spoon Cosworth Chicane Lumping Cosworth and Chicane together opens up more one more free space elsewhere. Oh, and can I have Rainbow, Exige, Clark PLEASE? Don't care about either Riverside or Park, just if I can have those 3 Which would total 10. 3-4 more? God, this naming lark is taking as long as creating the thing! |
