Why haven't Intersport given up with unreliable AER engines and gone for something a little more trustworthy???

No money to buy new engines? At this rate of failures, I'm thinking they only have a clump of old engines that have gone through a huge number of rebuilds.

55 or 95? ALMS and Drayson Twitter feeds both say it's the 95.

Yes but that was when they made it to race itself. This in practice? They must have brought the RA motor, just changed the oil and a fresh set of plugs.

What other "reliable" LMP1 engine are they going to take a hold of? NONE of the current customer offerings have the most sterling record at the moment.
Also, the Judd (the most obvious alternative) lacks a turbo, so it's not nearly so easy, if it's possible at all, to turn up the whick on that lump like you can with the AER. |

I think Highcroft may live to regret going with the lower downforce here and at Road Atlanta.
