Panoz bringing a two-car effort next season w/ Ian James back in one seat and Preston Calvert in the second. Should be fun

Despite new GT4 entries from Audi, BMW and Mercedes, along with the previously seen Aston Martin, Chevrolet, Ginetta, KTM, McLaren, Maserati, Panoz, Porsche, and SIN entries from this year, there appears to be no SprintX GTS races scheduled, which seems to be a lost opportunity. Perhaps PWC has researched the entries to get an approximate car count, and have decided that there isn't enough interest YET!

Not good news about Gainsco, but two Panoz GT4s in GTS next year is going to be fantastic.

PWC could really improve the Sprint-X races. Having the teams do a 4 tire change and refueling for a 60 minute race is not enough. I have a few other suggestions.
1. Get a brake manufacturer as a presenting sponsor for Sprint-X. Then make the teams do a 4 rotor, pad and caliper change during the race. 2. Ban all alternators. Get a battery manufacturer as another presenting sponsor for Sprint-X. Then make the teams change out the battery during a pit stop. The chance of making it a full 60 minutes with no alternator is unlikely. 3. Make Pirelli come out with a tire that is about as soft as a Hoosier A series tire (what's used for autocross or what many use for the runoffs and is only good for 30 minutes). Then the tire change will mean something and force teams to put on new tires because they will cord them in 30 minutes. Best part is that sportscar fans are obsessed with lap times and this will definitely get the times much faster than any other GT3 series out there. In general, faster than GTLM. 4. Make all teams only start with 30 minutes of fuel. They have to all use an 11 gallon dump can and the car must take two of them during the pit stop. This makes it seem like a NASCAR race. I like the armband idea because it'll bring in all of the dog lovers because if you watch a dog show, the handlers wear an arm band. |

I really don't understand the refuel rule, but not extending race length. What's with the need to make this even more complicated? It's so unneeded

Weren't some of the cars (specifically thinking the McLarens) having trouble making 60 minutes on a single fuel load?
