Not really - I was thinking that apart from slowing the cars down (which is the aim of this thread), we could cut 4 cylinders off to make a 1.8 litre V6 for F1, then join two of the cut of fours together and sell them to IRL as a by product and for profit. That way, we make the cars slower, and end up making money. Simple.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to glue two Trabant 4's together? Damn!! I forgot -they are two stroke. OK, How about two Skoda engines then?

Coming back to the original thread. Why do we need to slow F1 down anyway? As I have suggested before…. They aint fast enough now! Pre war Grand Prix cars were exceeding 200 mph with bicycle sized wheels and litte more than a prayer to slow ‘em down!

It’s the braking distance that needs to be addressed. Ban front wings, ban high noses (e.g CART/IRL) and impose a single element rear wing with a restricted surface area. Oh and please bring back fat slicks. F1 cars should look sexy, and not like overgrown F3’s!

i say drop one of those briggs and strations (spelling??) in em. those bad boys sound sweet as hell ... And introduce pull starts
