For some reason it seems to be extremely difficult for BRSCC to publish the entry list for FFF every year.
The lists are, how ever, available on s2i Motorsport's web site: http://www.s2i.info/index.php/news/b...l-instructions |

This will be the first time that i have been to the FF festival this year, by the sounds of it racing should be good.
If i may though i wish to ask a noob question, now i know there are 'Kents' 'Zetecs' and 'duratecs' Im guessing Kents came first but then which? And what category do the cars from this years national series fall under? I know that is probably a very silly question to all of you, but i rarely leave the safety of the national saloon car bit, so therefore know nothing about single seaters! All the best and cheers for any info Simon |

Duratecs are the latest cars, and have been current for the last few years. Zetecs preceded that, for ten years or so from the early 1990s. Then Kents were before that, from almost since the inception of FFord.

Nice to see a 1992 car win , shows it can still be done in an older car.

I've no doubt the safety car saved the day for Rory Butcher. He even admitted as much when interviwed on the podium afterwards. It was a fantastic final to watch. Butcher went off like a rocket and Malvern couldn't live with him as he opened a two second gap. But Malvern kept his head and gradually from about lap 12 onwards he began to reel Butcher in. He was all over his gearbox on lap 20 when the saftey car was called out due to a stranded car at Druids. This left barely two laps of racing with Butcher desperately defending and trying to back Malvern into Dempsey and Smythe. It was just six one hundreths at the line with Malvern taking fastest lap. These two drivers have been the class of the field in FF1600 this season and they took their battle right to the wire and thankfully this time there were no clashes after Butchers recent two firings of Malvern in the previous events. Good to see Neville Smythe have some Festival luck at last making the podium. |

my view is if you have to see a motor race only once a year the FF festival is the meeting everyone should put on their list and stuff the GP procession with its pomp and poncy ness

Hi Guys,
I tripped over this site by accident and a few years too late. Good to see so many familiar names and cars mentioned to remind me of some of the best (and worst) days of my life. Referring to some old threads, I haven't been in touch with Trevor Stiles for a while so I don't know who has my old car. I like to think that that particular chassis has as good a pedigree as any, having achieved good results with a number of owners. I believe this was down to it being an ex-works development chassis, an engine built from scratch with selected parts by Martin, and Trevor's initial setting up. I no longer live in the Uk and am trying to build a house in Italy (Not easy), it would be good to hear from anyone who remembers me from the CoB days. Regards, John Hayden PS. I never finished any festival I entered!!! |

Please give my best regards to Colin. Actually I'm sitting in a site office in Abu Dhabi. Still in oil and gas but hoping to get a house built and eventually retire. Mind you I've beensaying that for years, getting divorced didn't help. Sounds as if the Festival was a stonker this year. I stopped going when the FF's became the supporting cast for the Caterhams...exciting as they were.

Trevor Stiles was at the Festival yesterday. He spent sometime speaking to my son Scott and looking at his car. He mentioned that he'd had dinner with John Oxborrow during the week. Rick Morris was also spotted although not by me. Old FF1600 drivers always return to their spirtual home! |
