My first time there many years ago I was blessed with being I/C on crossing point 4 so its not a rule I have ever heard of

im not assigned to any post atm.

the barc rules that say anyone under 18 must be constantly supervised at all times and have to sign on with someone. even though im 18 soon and have as much responsibility in real life as anyone.

thanks Jon
Hi Jon, see you there! Ernie tells me that it's a boring post, but never mind.

I have a small problem in that the arrangements I made for a spare ticket to be available to me have not materialised. therefore, if anyone has a spare guest ticket they won't be using... err... could I have it please?

Incidentally, My internet at home has broken down somewhat, so if anyone wants me for anything, please e-mail me and I can pick that up!

I'm on post 7 and staying with a friend in Chi, so I'll be nice and dry and warm in a comfy bed! Enjoy the camp site! LOL

Dont the MSA insist that anyone between 16 and 18 needs the signature/authority of a responsible adult anyway

In which case they are following MSA guidlines and I cant blame them for doing so...

Black X you are correct, we have a guy comes on events with us who is not quite 18 he has a letter from parent/s.
He has a few printed out signed by hand and we fill in our name (who ever is taking him) as guardian and send them with the availability notice.

I'm being allowed to bring our split screen camper so I'll be in luxury with a tin roof, no canvas this time!

It should stand out a bit on the campsite, if you see me come and say hi!

And before anyone asks, no it is not going to be repainted, the factory did it 50 year ago so why should we have to get it done again!?

I have now! With many thanks to MattFord!!!!!

And I only just managed to pick up my train tickets last night, phew! But £13.20 to get from devon to chichester isnt bad! Just got my bag and tent to bring on the train with me, and 2 changes.....

I dont know what msa say, but as we agreed at thruxton it undermines completly the marshal cadet scheme.

But only 6 months 3 weeks until im 18 anyway!

Yes they are following MSA Guidelines, the 'sign on' form for under 18's is different to the ones us 'oldies' have to sign + there is the Parental Consent form. If anyone needs copies I have some.

Hi Stig,
If you look at Google Maps, search Goodwood(not teaching you to suck eggs) the satallite picture shows Park Rd through the estate, just past where it turns north it forks the right hand fork leads to a track which goes straight east to some trees. I think the fields north of that track is where the camp site will be, maybe, from the picture on the back of the car pass. I sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Have a good week end, I intend too.

When the campsite was at the top and previous to that across the road from turnaround staying Sunday night was no problem..
We always stop Sunday night as packing the van and awning etc etc away late on Sunday is a pita...

Thanks Nick, Circuitmarshal and Blackx. I think we may well stay over on Sunday night if it is indeed possible. Long way to go home!

Had a good day yesterday, traffic in was fine unlike last year but took us forever to get out and to Midhurst and the M25 was predictably rubbish as well!

Lunch was appreciated as ever, and I won the marshals draw and got a ride around the rally stage with Marcus Dodd which was great The manual and handbook we got was useful, don't remember getting that last year. We didn't have much to do [flying finish on the rally stage] though Matt Wilson's bumper was on fire as he passed us on one of his runs and did have a driver who decided he could finish the stage without his helmet on....

Never got any further than the rally stage area so no idea what food options were like at the bottom of the hill but thought £5.50 for a bacon butty was very steep!
