How the GT1 class is balanced, if LAA uses Dunlop tyres?
Also what about the Saleens, without race in WC how can ACO garantee right performance ajustments? |

Not so sure, could just be the grille But then again Alphand lost 1 of their cars last year so they could be trying out its replacement considering they have 2 entries for Le Mans

Well, clearly it was raining there today. What's the updated weather looking like for the weekend now?
I'm supposing that they use a guesstimate with the Saleen, based on relative power and weight between it and the Corvettes in 2001-09 GTS/GT1 trim. It may not be perfect, but it would probably be close enough to not put things too far apart. |

I haven't been watching/listening, but looking at the times I assume it's very wet?
I guess its still underway as the times are still updating. Difficult to read much into the times as Audi don't seem to be on the same agenda as Peugeot. Any update as to whether Race-Rally or anyone else will be making a stream available? |

Radio le Mans had reported heavy rain during the night, it's dry now but the track was reported to be very damp. Cars probably still running full wets as we speak

Because there's no practice session running at the moment. Peugeot 1-2-3 in the first session, the Oreca Pug in 1st, then the #1, then the #3. Audis down in P7-P9.

What has to be wondered now is was Audi holding back and using practice one as a glorified test session or have the Peugeot's improved much for cars that supposidly haven't had much R&D since before LM last year?
I suspect that Audi has some cards that they're not showing and this was a bedding in/rust knock-off session. Also, the Pugs might have switched to intermediates late in the session to run those times on a drying track. Granted, the Pug's probably improved, but not enough unless they've finally learned their lesson about being flexible with their cars' setups. Practice 2 might show some real answers to the questions, as the Audi guys didn't really seem to push at all. Also, how far can the Pugs push in the rain without running into problems, since rain is back in the forcast for Sunday. |

The Oreca Peugeot is in 7th.
Judging by the fact Simon has already set a 1:59.826, if qualifying is dry, does anyone think the 2008 record may fall? |

There's a very good reason why Peugeot snapped up Pagenaud. And we're seeing it in full now.
Also, Peugeot 1-2-3 is #3-#1-#2... the order in which they filled the podium at LM in 1993. Hmmm? |

The Strakka Acura (since that's sure as hell what that car looks like, all semantics aside) has sure put in a good time!

P2 looking closer than at Ricard, Strakka, Quifel, OAK and RML trading fastest laps over this session so far...
2:01.3 for Davidson, #1 Pug stays 2nd. EDIT: Are they using the pit garages on the run down to Eau Rouge or the F1 pit garages? Because I would have thought with 50 entries... |
